Regardless of what you do before sleeping with your phone, experts say it's time to remove this habit.
Scientists have discovered that the use of smart phones at night is linked to three health problems:
1: Increased risk of cancer
Increasing night-time lighting leads to poor sleep quality and this increases the risk of cancer, especially breast and prostate cancer.
Melatonin is the antioxidant and the body's natural anti-cancer weapon, but is suppressed by the blue light that cleans the smart phones.
2: Loss of sleep
Blue light prevents the production of melatonin and this hormone regulates the cycle of sleep in the body. If the body remains drowsy then the sleepy cycle of sleep also leads to other problems such as depression, weight gain, memory problems, cardiovascular problems, and so on.
3: Eye damage
Exposure to blue light at night leads to retinal damage and macular degeneration, which is loss of central vision or ability to see before you.
