Where the bobbin is located and how to properly string the bobbin some gears and gadgets and you don’t know what they do. Overall you need to know how to set up your machine to start sewing.
Tips 2. Learning how to change the machine needle, the different types of stitches such as back stitching, hemming and zigzag etc…..what the presser foot does and how to change it. How to thread the bobbin because not all machines thread the same way.
Tips 3. Learn how to fix the basic problems such as: when the thread got jammed, or you can’t get the machine to start. Its frustrated I know I have been there done that. So I recommend that you keep your users guide book nearby.
Tips 4. Learn how to maintain your machine by keeping it away from dust. Must machine come with a little brush, so use it to get rid of the dust that gets between all the nooks and crannies. How often to clean your machine all depends on the fabric you use most of the time. I recommend you dust and oil your machine once per month. Sewing machine oil is great product to use for cleaning.
