Police investigating after sudden death in Queensland home

Queensland Police are investigating the Sudden Death of a woman found in a home in a small town north of Toowoomba.

The 61-year-old was found in a residence in the town of Crows Nest about 2pm on Monday.

A crime scene has been established while inquiries are made into the circumstances surrounding her Death.

Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine how the 61-year-old died.

They are currently looking into "all avenues of enquiry".

State Emergency Services volunteers are assisting officers in a search of the area.

Crows Nest is a town of about 2000 people about 160km west of Brisbane.
