A man is fighting for his life after being shot in Brisbane's inner-city earlier this morning.

Police were called to an address on Highland Street in Wavell Heights at about 7.45am today after reports that a man in his late 30s had been shot.

"A man was located with significant leg wounds," a spokesman for Queensland Police told 9news.com.au.

"He's been transported to hospital in a critical condition.

"And a crime scene has since been declared while investigations continue."

Police have not made any arrests in connection to the Shooting but the spokesman said more information will be released throughout the day.
