Since it was released to the general public in 2020 as part of Jordan Brand's "New Beginnings" Pack, the Nike Air Ship has been steadily adding new products to its inventory in the years since then. With the Chinese Lunar New Year just around the corner, I would want to rock Nike Air Ship University Gold Sneakers to bring prosperity to my brand new year. After all, we Chinese love the golden yellow hues, no?

Nike Air Ship University Gold Sneakers

A Ma Maniére's lens was used for a partnership that was limited to 2,300 pairs and was introduced with a "Team Orange" presentation last year. This year, the silhouette is poised to add another addition to its arsenal: the Nike Air Ship "University Gold."

This latest iteration of the Air Ship colourway relies heavily on a two-toned visual presentation, much like prior colours that have been made available to the general public. The majority of this location's surface area is covered in white, from the perforated toe boxes and nylon tongues to the lateral and medial panels.

In Yellowing Gold Colour?

From that point on, the kicks' "University Gold" accents become immediately noticeable as they gradually make their way onto the shoelaces, as well as the Nike Air logo that is printed across the tongues, Swooshes, and collars. Additional branding from the company situated in Beaverton is prominently displayed on the heels in white. An angelic midsole unit and outsole that is coloured with a full "University Gold" paint job dyed beneath the upper in glue.

So far there is no official release date yet but it has been rumoured for a February 2023 release. Similarly, no pricing has been announced but we are expecting the sneakers to cost around US$399 (RM1,799). Do you like this combination of colours? Honestly speaking, I would have preferred if the "University Gold" colour could come in a slightly more glittering or reflective form, no? Then again, maybe it is just me. 😂
