The Other Mums - meet the Edinburgh Super Mums

Tags: love kid house
Since I have started this blog, I have really started to build an interest in other blogger's, especially the blogger that are in the city I call home, Edinburgh!
This feature, The Other Mums will introduce you to some of the lovely bloggers I follow and look up too. You may know a few familiar faces, first up is the very positive blogger MummyJoJo, who keeps me entertained on instagram with her fun sing along's, adventures and her blog that tells it how it is.
Jojo Fraser is a motivational speaker, mental health ambassador and author of the popular blog
mummyjojo.com.
She is married with two kids - Bonnie is 5 and Charlie is 3. Jojo is a foodie, fitness geek and loves to dance around her kitchen singing at the top of her lungs. She is also a self confessed spa junky and loves reading self development books. She has written one too so watch this space. She is not a fan of over complicated writing and likes to keep it real - always.
Question Time
Are you from Edinburgh? If not how did you come to live here?
Yes, I was born here 35 years ago and there is no place I would rather call home. I love it in all seasons.
Before Kids, where would we have found you on a Saturday night?
Throwing the most epic parties in our top floor flat in the grange.
What is your average Saturday like now with kids?
Good food, music and then a glass of fizz, Sat night tv and catch up with Hubs once they are finally asleep.
What did you find hardest about having children?
Attempting to leave the House and don't get me started on supermarket trips. My first ever blog shares the day it broke me and I cried in Tesco car park.
Tell us a time when becoming a parent blew your mind. What challenges have you faced?
It blew my mind in a good way the first night we brought our first baby, little Bonnie home.I was high on hormones and life and could not be happier. I felt so happy I could burst. The same goes for a couple of years later when we brought Charlie home.
To be honest, being a parent blows my mind every day. These little people are beyond magical but at the same time beyond challenging sometimes too. Our kids are determined and head strong and know how to push me to the limit. Thankfully they are so cute and lots of fun.
If you have a quiet childfree afternoon in Edinburgh, where would you spend it?
The spa. Followed by a nice meal. Pure bliss. Or at home in the bath with a good book and some scented candles.
Favourite place for a cocktail with the girls?
Tiger Lily - ohhhh El Cartel do epic margaritas
Your hidden gem in the city?
I love unwinding in the outside pool at David Lloyd after a massage from Lynne at Vibe beauty. That girl is so talented. It's like a mindfulness massage - breathing, epic pressure, Espa essential oils. I also love going to Prestonfield House where we got married. My little sanctuary in the city with a fab view of Arthur's seat. They do the best homemade raspberry jam too and I will never forget their raspberry and clotted cream pavlova. All the food is great, as is their house champagne. I want to go back and stay the night. I'm going to do that this year! I love the peacocks walking around, it's like a country house in the city.
What do you love most about being a parent in Edinburgh?
Edinburgh holds so many special memories of my childhood so it is magical bringing my own kids up here. I love taking them to the home I grew up in, where my folks still live. It is a beautiful place to go walking. We are close to some fab beaches and Arthur's Seat is such a treasure. There are loads of great places to take the kids for food too. I am a foodie after all and hope they grow up to share my passion for eating out.
