NBA roundup: Jayson Tatum makes Boston history in defeating Nets

The Boston Celtics defeated the Brooklyn Nets 124-114 in New York, with Jayson Tatum scoring 32 points. The Celtics improved to 5-0 for the first time since the 2009-10 season. Young had 22 points and 12 assists, while Johnson contributed 21 points and 11 rebounds. Zion Williamson scored 25 points for the Pelicans, and Brandon Ingram returned from injury to score 16.

The Houston Rockets beat the Sacramento Kings 107-89, with Dillon Brooks leading the way with a season-high 26 points. Jabari Smith Jr. and Fred VanVleet also had double-doubles for the Rockets. Malik Monk scored 18 points for the Kings, who were without De’Aaron Fox.

The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Utah Jazz 123-95, with Anthony Edwards scoring 31 points and Karl-Anthony Towns adding 25. Lauri Markkanen scored 22 points for the Jazz.

The Denver Nuggets beat the Chicago Bulls 123-101, with Nikola Jokic recording 28 points, 16 rebounds, and nine assists. Michael Porter Jr. scored a season-high 27 points for the Nuggets. Nikola Vucevic scored 19 points for the Bulls.

Overall, it was an eventful night in the NBA with several standout performances and close games.
