South and North Korea Reconnect Cross-border Hotline

Over the past few months, the North Koreans have broken their relationship with South Korea. This was after they noticed a strange joint between the US and South Korea military drills. They even decided to launch their missiles secretly without involving their southern neighbors.

The South Korean have confirmed that there is a mutual negotiation to promote unity. They want to come back and work together as a team. The ministry of foreign affairs admitted that there was a message conversation at the cross-border channel. A spokesman released the report early Monday.

The Korean Central News Agency, run by the Pyongyang state, announced a report yesterday about the meeting.  The KNCA discussed the planned emergency communication that will take place on Monday at 9:00 am, which is 0000hrs GMT.

The South Koreans had to make an effort and reply to the call without any delay. There are important tasks that the two nations were to uptake, but the beef was keeping everything away. They need to talk to open future negotiations. The KNCA report did not let out the task samples.

The state media from all the countries said Kim Jong was ready to establish better communication with Seoul. The two Koreans need to realize what they can do in the long run. They are of similar origin hence they must work out things to benefit each other.  The citizens from both countries have high hopes that the top officials shall calmly solve the issue.

The Koreans have been sharing their phone hotlines since 1970s. Communication was key in those days hence they needed to find the best method to reach each other. The technicians converged and decided to create a link between the North and Southern region. Political issues also accelerated the action.

Three years ago, in 2018 there was a perfect relationship between the other President Kim Jong Un and his counterpart from south Moon Jae-in. The tech companies even decided to set up a direct link between the two heads of state. There was a need to improve the three-yearly summit that happens in either of the countries. But as time goes by, the ties have diminished. The North Koreans decided to cut off communication from the South. They accused the South Koreans of spreading propaganda leaflets that cross the border to the North.

In July 2021, the communication lines were rectified, but it only took a few weeks before the demolishment plans loomed in. Northern Korea stopped picking up and responding to any calls or messages.

The North has decided to come out and clear the bad blood between the two. But Southern will need to comply with certain laws. The recent missiles launched by the North brought some tension. The United Nations had to come and question N. Korea about their weapons. The hypersonic missile test took place in September.

There is another project coming up as Pyongyang has announced long-range missiles that could cover about 15000 kilometers. The South Korean have only managed to test submarine missiles a few weeks ago.

The UN ended up banning North Korea from participating in ballistic missiles. This means they have to stop developing weapons for a certain period of time.
