Mullen has just released the Qiantu K50 in the New York auto show 2019. However, the car won’t hit the roads until 2020. Two twin electric motors have been connected to the 70-kilowatt-hour battery pack. This layout allows the “dynamic torque vectoring”. The K50 shifts power from the front to back. This way it easily moves through sharp turns and twisting roads. The suspension improves the ability of the car to manoeuvre.
The K50 has a 430 horsepower. This launches the car from 0 to 60 mph in 4.3 seconds and through a top speed of 112mph.
Qiantu has a 4-piston braking system, which helps in smooth braking over distances. The back and front carbon brakes are from Brembo. These help in thermal conductivity and better overall performance.
The car has a T-shaped battery pack, an approach inspired by General Motors. It fills the interior space quite quickly. The Company representative says that this approach is used because it reduces the investment cost and increases the flexibility of the K50.
Exterior:
Regarding the appearance of K50, the main difference between 2015 and the present day model is Front Fascia. The car has brand new tear shaped headlights, which make the car look like the BMW i8. The two grilles on the bumper are also different.
Mullen has painted the body in a combination of grey and black. The overall appearance of the car looks bolder than before. The car lacks aerodynamics equipment, which gives it an authentic appearance. The K50 has a two-tone scheme of Veyron, so it doesn’t look bad. There are distinct lines on the front end, which give the car a longer appearance.
In the rear end of the car, there is a flowing line, which moves towards the end of the rear fascia. However, it is different from the BMW i8 in the aspect that the lid has a clear glass and ducktail spoiler.
Interior:
The interior of the K50 is clothed with Alcantara Material. The seats are also furnished with leather and Alcantara. Alcantara provides good support to the occupants. The seats are quite soft and equipped with heating and ventilation.
The car has a good infotainment screen along with a 6-inch HD central display. Some other amazing internal features of the K50 include an air-conditioning system, audio system, third-party integration, and the car phone interconnection.
Mullen Qiantu K50 has a unique inner circulation system. It also contains a roof solar panel, which activates when the temperature reaches 77 degrees promoting smooth and comfortable driving.
