The Google home has gained tremendous popularity and has almost dominated the smart speaker market. Google constantly updates their Assistant making it better and better. Bilingual support

Way back in February, Google had announced their plans on Bilingual support for the Google Assistant. This month’s updates include just that. This means you can now switch between two languages when conversing with your google home.You can now talk to your Google assistant and get response in two default languages instead of one.

For now, you cant switch between two languages as you speak. But you can’t ask queries in different languages separately.

Visualized Responses: chrome cast

Earlier we had visual responses from Google home to chrome cast with commands like ” Hey Google, Show me the weather on the living room TV”. This command would show you the weather report overlayed on the bottom half of your chrome cast connected TV screen. Google announced more visual response support for queries regarding sports scores, stocks etc that benefit from the visual representation. So now you can watch your videos and get a weather report at the same time.

There are more Google home updates for September in this category. Now you don’t have to specify which screen to cast to when asking google. An Example is, If a Chromecast-connected TV is already set as the default, users can now just say “Hey Google, play The Mentalist,” instead of, “Hey Google, play The Mentalist on Living Room TV.” If you ask the Google home to cast your TV show, it will cast on your default screen if no screen is mentioned.

Routines

Routines are going out to Australia, Canada, Germany, India and United Kingdoms. So for everyone there, the routines are rolling out here very soon.If you haven’t gotten the update, they will roll out very soon.

Fixes.

Google has fixed some issues with the routines functionality with other Google Assistant Devices. Now all google assistant devices can perform routines without problems.There are also some minor issues that are also fixed.
