After her freshman soccer season at Washington State University was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic, she turned pro and in January 2021 was the second overall draft pick in the National Women's Soccer League. She made her debut as a forward with the Washington Spirit in April 2021 and made history just minutes into her first game, becoming the youngest American goal scorer in league history at 18. "This has been my dream forever, I've been playing soccer since I was 4 years old," she said after she was drafted, as reported by CNN. "[My father] was an amazing athlete, and I got those genes from him, but I'm excited to be known as Trinity Rodman and not just as Rodman's daughter." Despite their shared passion for sports, the pair have had a fraught relationship. "My dad doesn't play a big role in my life at all and most people don't know that, we don't see eye to eye on many things," Trinity shared on Instagram after Dennis attended one of her games in November 2021, explaining, "I go months if not years without his presence or communication. In October 2021, Michael starred as a young Tony Soprano in the 1960s-set prequel film "The Many Saints of Newark: A Sopranos Story." He was just 14 when his dad died of a heart attack at 51 during a 2013 family vacation in Rome.
