It’s time, Bachelor Nation. The Bachelor in Paradise 2022 spoilers about who gets engaged (and who breaks up) are here, and they reveal a messy season from start to finish.
Bachelor in Paradise is a spinoff of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. The Bachelor franchise premiered on ABC in March 2002 with businessman Alex Michel as the first Bachelor. The show has since aired for 26 seasons and produced several spinoffs including The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise, Bachelor Pad, The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart and The Bachelor Winter Games. Bachelor in Paradise premiered in August 2014 as a reality TV dating show featuring previous contestants from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. The show starts with an uneven number of women and men from The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Each week, there’s a rose ceremony where either the men or women give roses to the contestants they feel the strongest connection to. The contestants who don’t receive a rose are sent home.
The next week, the roles are reversed, and the gender that didn’t give out roses the previous week now has the job of choosing who to give a rose to and who to send home. Each week, more contestants from past seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette are also join the show to create an uneven number between the women and men and force the contestants already there to either couple up with someone new or stay in their current relationship. Contestants are also given date cards at random to choose contestants they want to spend alone time with. Many new contestants join the show with a date card.
At the end of the season, the contestants are offered a chance to have an overnight date with no cameras or microphones (much like Fantasy Suites on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.) After the overnight dates is the finale, where contestants either choose to break up or get engaged. Like The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise also has an “After the Final Rose” special, where contestants reunite to hash out drama and update viewers on their relationship.

Kira Mengistu (The Bachelor season 26, Clayton Echard) was eliminated at the First Rose ceremony along with Hailey Malles and Hunter Haag (The Bachelor season 26, Clayton Echard) after they didn’t receive roses from any of the men. A day after the first Rose Ceremony, Kira returned to the beach and left together with Romeo Alexander (The Bachelorette season 18, Michelle Young), who gave his rose to Jill Chin (The Bachelor season 26, Clayton Echard), but decided his feelings for Kira were stronger, according to Reality Steve.
Bachelor in Paradise 2022 spoiler: Teddi quits after breaking up with Andrew

Teddi Wright (The Bachelor season 26, Clayton Echard) received a rose from Andrew Spencer (The Bachelorette season 17, Katie Thurston) at the first Rose Ceremony. However, after the Rose Ceremony, Teddi told Andrew that she didn’t feel that strong of a connection with him and self-eliminated, according to Reality Steve.

Sierra Jackson (The Bachelor season 26, Clayton Echard) received a rose from Michael Allio (The Bachelorette season 17, Katie Thurston) at the first Rose Ceremony. However, after the rose ceremony, Michael broke up with Sierra, which led Sierra to self-eliminate. After Michael and Sierra broke up, Danielle Maltby (The Bachelor season 21, Nick Viall & Bachelor in Paradise season 4) arrived on Bachelor in Paradise season 8 and asked Michael on a date, according to Reality Steve.

Salley Carson (The Bachelor season 26, Clayton Echard) arrived on Bachelor in Paradise season 8 after the first Rose Ceremony but self-eliminated soon after because of her issues with Bachelor in Paradise‘s production, according to Reality Steve. “Salley Carson (Clayton’s season) arrived and was barely on the beach before self-eliminating. What I’ve heard is that production did her dirty and she wanted no part of being there anymore, so she left. Details sketchy at this point in terms of what happened, but I’ll fill you in once I hear,” Reality Steve wrote in a blog post in September 2022.

Casey Woods (The Bachelorette season 18, Michelle Young) gave his rose to Brittany Galvin (The Bachelor season 25, Matt James) at the first Rose Ceremony. However, he self-eliminated after he broke his ankle before the second Rose Ceremony, according to Reality Steve.

Peter Izzo (The Bachelorette season 18, Michelle Young) arrived on Bachelor in Paradise season 8 after the second Rose Ceremony and asked Brittany Galvin (The Bachelor season 25, Matt James) on a date. The date didn’t go well and Peter self-eliminated, according to Reality Steve.
Bachelor in Paradise 2022 spoiler: There is a “Casa Amor” twist like Love Island

There was a twist similar to “Casa Amor” on Love Island after the second Rose Ceremony on Bachelor in Paradise season 8, according to Reality Steve. In Love Island, “Casa Amor” is a twist that occurs in the middle of the season, where the original group of men and the women are separated into two villas—the original villa and Casa Amor—where they date a new group of men and women and must decide if they want to stay with their original partners or couple up with someone new.
On Bachelor in Paradise season 8, the men stayed on the original beach in Mexico (where they dated five new Bachelor alums) while the women moved to a new beach (where they dated five new Bachelorette alums), according to Reality Steve, who reported that the twist lasted for one day. At the third Rose Ceremony, the original Bachelor in Paradise contestants decided if they wanted to stay with their original partners or couple up with someone new. Kate Gallivan (The Bachelor season 26, Clayton Echard) was the villain of Bachelor in Paradise season 8, according to Reality Steve. She arrived after the second Rose Ceremony as part of the Casa Amor twist. Jacob Rapini (The Bachelor season 19, Gabby Windey & Rachel Recchia) gave his rose to Kate over his previous partner, Jill Chin (The Bachelor season 26, Clayton Echard), and Jill was eliminated. Later in the season, Kate gave her rose to Logan Palmer (The Bachelor season 19, Gabby Windey & Rachel Recchia), and Jacob was eliminated. “Kate is possibly next villain, as she seems to be causing quite the ruckus down there. Doesn’t mean she’s a horrible person and people need to start bad mouthing her on her IG, but I don’t think her edit is gonna be great and she’s rubbing some of the contestants the wrong way from everything I’m hearing,” Reality Steve wrote in a blog post in September 2022.
Bachelor in Paradise 2022 spoiler: Olu & Rick are eliminated after “Casa Amor”

Rick Leach (The Bachelorette season 17, Michelle Young) and Olu Onajide (The Bachelorette season 17, Michelle Young) arrived as part of the “Casa Amor” twist on Bachelor in Paradise season 8. However, they were both eliminated when they didn’t form a connection with any of the women and didn’t make it back to the original beach, according to Reality Steve. Alex Bordyukov (The Bachelorette season 12, Rachel Lindsay) and Adam Todd (The Bachelorette Australia season 6) are also eliminated soon after.

Justin Glaze (The Bachelorette season 17, Katie Thurston) was eliminated after the second Rose Ceremony when he didn’t receive a rose from any of the women. He came back after the “Casa Amor” twist because he was interested in Eliza Isichei (The Bachelor season 26, Clayton Echard), according to Reality Steve.

Eliza Isichei (The Bachelor season 26, Clayton Echard) became involved in a love triangle with Rodney Mathews (The Bachelorette season 18, Michelle Young) and Justin Glaze (The Bachelorette season 17, Katie Thurston) when Justin came back to Bachelor in Paradise season 8 after Rodney gave Eliza his rose at the third Rose Ceremony. At the fourth Rose Ceremony, Eliza gave her rose to Rodney over Justin, but walked Justin out. When Eliza came back, she broke up with Rodney and told him that she felt pressured to give him her rose, which led them both to quit Bachelor in Paradise season 8. Reality Steve couldn’t confirm if Justin and Eliza are still together.

Sarah Hamrick (The Bachelor season 26, Clayton Echard) arrived as part of the “Casa Amor” twist. However, Sarah self-eliminated before the third Rose Ceremony after she learned that her grandmother had died and she had to quit Bachelor in Paradise season 8.
Bachelor in Paradise 2022 spoiler: Lyndsey quits after Kate doesn’t allow Logan to go on a date with her

Lyndsey Windham was one of the last three women to arrive on Bachelor in Paradise season 8 along with Mara Agrait and Ency Abedin (The Bachelor season 26, Clayton Echard). Because there weren’t many single men still on the beach, Lyndsey asked Logan Palmer (The Bachelorette season 19, Gabby Windey & Rachel Recchia) on a date. But when Kate Gallivan (The Bachelor season 26, Clayton Echard), who was coupled up with Logan, told him that he didn’t want him to go on the date, Lyndsey self-eliminated, according to Reality Steve, who referred to the moment as another reason Kate was the villain on Bachelor in Paradise season 8.

Shanae Ankney, Mara Agrait (The Bachelor season 26, Clayton Echard), Florence Moerenhout (Bachelor in Paradise Australia season 1 & 2) were involved in a love triangle with twins Joey and Justin Young (The Bachelorette season 19, Gabby Windey & Rachel Recchia), according to Reality Steve. Mara and Florence were two of the three last women to arrive on Bachelor in Paradise season 8, while Justin and Joey were two of the last three men to arrive on Bachelor in Paradise.

Season 19 Bachelorettes Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia make a cameo on Bachelor in Paradise season 8. Reality Steve reported that Gabby and Rachel make a guest appearance toward the end of the season, where they tell Kate Gallivan (The Bachelor season 26, Clayton Echard) about how Logan Palmer (The Bachelorette season 19, Gabby Windey & Rachel Recchia) switched from Rachel to Gabby on their season. Logan was disqualifed in week six in fifth place on Gabby and Rachel’s Bachelorette season after he tested positive for COVID-19 Gabby and Rachel knew Kate from Clayton’s Bachelor season.
Bachelor in Paradise 2022 spoiler: Genevieve & Aaron break up before the finale

Genevieve Parisi (The Bachelor season 26, Clayton Echard) and Aaron Clancy (The Bachelorette season 17, Katie Thurston & Bachelor in Paradise season 7) make it to the final six couples on Bachelor in Paradise season 8 but broke up before the finale, according to Reality Steve. Genevieve was one of the original contestants on Bachelor in Paradise season 8, while Aaron arrived after the first Rose Ceremony. Genevieve and Aaron were also involved in drama on Clayton’s Bachelor season after Shanae Ankney, another contestant on Clayton’s Bachelor season, accused Genevieve of having sex with Aaron after she was eliminated on Clayton’s Bachelor season. “And then when you get eliminated, you go home and fuck Aaron from Katie [Thurston]’s season,” Shanae said on the “Women Tell All” special.
Genevieve denied the rumors. “This is mind-blowing, I met [Aaron] at a bar, I didn’t kiss him,” she said. Genevieve also claimed that Shanae was the one DMed Aaron. “He goes, ‘Is she really this bad?’ And sent me a screenshot of all of your hearts replying to his messages. He thinks you’re crazy, so stop,” she said. Genevieve also denied rumors she and Aaron had sex after the “Women Tell All” special. “The comment of me and Aaron… I mean, I can’t even begin to explain how ridiculous that is,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I think I was more shocked than when Clayton asked me if I was an actress,” she told Us Weekly. “I saw Aaron at a bar and I posted a picture with him…I didn’t even kiss Aaron. And that’s why I was just, like, ‘What?’” She continued, “I just don’t even have words for that girl.”
Aaron, for his part, explained on the “Click Bait” podcast at the time that he and Genevieve met “randomly” at a bar but didn’t talk much then. “Genevieve and I met randomly one time at a bar. Clayton’s season hadn’t even aired yet, so I didn’t know who she was. She knew who I was from Paradise and came up to me to introduce herself. We hugged and that was pretty much the extent of it. I didn’t care to talk too much about The Bachelor with her and that was it,” he said.
