Scots police launch manhunt for sex attacker in suit who assaulted woman on bus

Police in Perth have launched a hunt to find a man in a suit who sexually assaulted a Woman as she rode into the city on a bus.

The woman was on the number 1 bus heading into Perth city centre at around 7.45pm on Saturday October 8 when she was approached and touched inappropriately by the attacker. Cops say she was left "understandably shaken" after the assault.

Officers describe the man as white, in his late fifties, around 5ft10ins in height and of average build, with short dark brown hair and stubble. At the time of the attack he was wearing a dark-coloured suit.

Tayside Division cops are appealing to members of the public who may have been travelling on the same bus to get in touch if they believe they may have witnessed the incident.

Constable Rachel McHale said: “The woman was Left Understandably Shaken by this incident.

“Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who was on this bus at the time to have a think back and to get in touch with us if you saw what happened or have any information which may assist us.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 3259 of 11 October, 2022.
