Manipulation Comes In Many Forms

For most of my Childhood, my adoptive parents played mind games with me.

The beauty in being raised by two psychos is that you learn to adapt quickly AND play the games better than they can.

It’s a slippery slope to say this, but Manipulative behavior is like second nature to me now.

While I do not want to continue the pattern of fucked up behavior, I can understand and overcome it.

  • Keep the person desperate, then mock everything about them until they crack.
  • Weaponize their past against them.
  • Use confusing language to trap them in their own words.
  • Be ambiguous but conniving.
  • Deal punishment then act like nothing happened.
  • Pretend to keep a record of their alleged transgressions.
  • Use religion to judge and stereotype their actions.
  • Say one thing then mean another. AKA mindfuck them until they’re psychologically damaged.
  • Blame every unfortunate event on them.
  • Tell them that they ruined your life. The blame game is a shitty weapon.

Being manipulative is playing dumb. Overcoming Manipulation lies in mental fortitude and disassociation. I disassociated for most of my childhood. This protected me from truly losing my mind and continuing the cycle of violence.
