TEEN Mom star's Chelsea Houska, Leah Messer, and other cast members were caught wearing wigs on the show in a recap from the franchise's earlier days.

The reality stars often experimented with different hairstyles during their appearances on the series.

The most memorable moments came out of Teen Mom 2 where both Chelsea and Leah donned interesting hairpieces throughout the show's over a decade-long run.

CHELSEA HOUSKA

Not far off from Chelsea's current hair color, the mom-of-four previously rocked a dark brown wig in a throwback episode.

The MTV alum voiced her regrets about her hair choice in a tweet in December 2016, calling the wig "disgusting."

"Can we talk about that disgusting wig? I had colored my hair & they made me wear it, I cried for about an hour before doing it," she wrote referencing the network's insistence on the cast wearing wigs after any major hair color changes in the earlier seasons.

A Reddit user also reminisced on past episodes sharing a snapshot of Chelsea sporting the curly updo.

They captioned the TV star's somber-looking pic: "Rewatching TM2. How did I NEVER notice this hot mess of a wig that Chelsea wore?! Jesus God."

The 30-year-old had some fans fooled as comments followed of those shocked that the piece was not her actual hair.

"I can usually pick out a wig, did not think that was a wig lol," one replied.

"How can you even tell with her hair, isn't most of it fake anyway?," another remarked.

"I never knew this was a wig until someone pointed it out," a third chimed in.

While another mentioned Chelsea's co-star Leah's previous makeover involving a blonde wig, adding: "I can't believe I never noticed! And I never noticed Leah's wing either! It's so obvious when I go back and watch it now."

LEAH MESSER

In 2014, Leah, 29, stunned in the bleach blonde hairstyle - a big difference from her current brunette locks.

The hairdo wasn't popular among viewers as the star made The Ashley's Reality Roundup's 2017 list of the worst Teen Mom hairstyles of all time.

She was also mocked by Reddit users as one poster branded her hair as "the worst wig from Teen Mom 2 in my opinion."

They included a still shot of Leah appearing upset with her hair styled in a side messy bun.

Critics filled the thread with their negative remarks as one wrote: "Hahaha here I am just thinking she had really weird hair for a while when it was actually a wig..."

Another commented: "Lmao wtf. I must be stupid because I didn't realize these were wigs until i came to this sub. Just thought their hair was really bad (which it was)"

While another added: "The makeup makes it worse."

DEBRA DANIELSON

Another notable Teen Mom star who liked to dress up her style with a wig was Farrah Abraham's mother Debra Danielson.

The 64-year-old also made the list of worst hairstyles after she rocked a Halloween wig onstage during the season six reunion special.

Fans are used to seeing her long blonde hair as she's showed off in her recent music videos.

Though her current look is a transformation from her Teen Mom OG days, her layered auburn wig didn't go well with the audience.

At one point, Deb asked the crowd what they thought of her new do, to which she received awkward silence in response.

Deb stopped appearing on the show after her daughter was fired in 2017 for working in the porn industry.
