The best Typewriter fonts can be very effective in a range of design projects. They can give a design a nostalgic or retro quality, and sometimes they can simply be pleasing to the eye since we're still very much familiar with reading them. Of course, Courier is the best-known of all typewriter fonts, but there are plenty of alternatives, whether you're looking for something traditional or something more decorative and unusual.

In our selection of the best typewriter fonts below, we've included only paid-for options. Some of them are very affordable while some are more expensive, but they can all be worth the price when the project requires a good typewriter font. The prices vary depending on whether you require the entire font family or only one version and also what use you require the font for.

If you're on a budget, then we also have a selection of our favourite free typewriter fonts. And for more free resources, see our guides to the best free fonts and the best free wallpapers for typography lovers. You might also want to see our guides to the best Google fonts and best Adobe fonts.
