1. Cerave's Hydrating cleanser made with hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and glycerin — aka, all the good stuff to hydrate your face and remove makeup and oil without stripping your skin of its natural moisture. Psst — a lot of reviewers with sensitive skin and acne swear by this, because it's super gentle *and* super effective.

Amazon.com

Promising review: "The Cerave cleanser has been my favorite for a few years now because it's so gentle, nonirritating, and keeps my skin from drying out. It works well as a general hydrating facial cleanser.  Other cleansers have stripped my skin too much and have dried me out, but this one never does. It's really become the core of my skincare routine." —Emi A.

Get it from Amazon for $14.53.

2. An enzyme-based laundry stain remover that works its magic in one wash to help you instantly get rid of all that discolored dried sweat, oil stains, or deodorant residue on your favorite clothes.

amazon.com

This spray also does a number on all those other miscellaneous stains in your life, like wine, coffee, soy sauce, makeup, and period blood! I recently bought this to test it for myself, and can attest to how well it works to get period blood out even after you've tried something else. I stained a pair of beloved bright-blue bike shorts in my sleep and tried to get it out with soap and water, but the stain was still there when it came out of the wash. I treated it with this, stuck it back in the wash, and BOOM, it's like it never happened (I panicked before I could get a before and after, please forgive me, laundry gods).

Promising review: "I've used this product for a few years and it always worked well and did a great job, but I didn't fully understand it's capabilities until this week. I dyed my hair and then stupidly wore a white sports bra. My fresh dye leaked dark purple stains ALL over the bra, which was really disappointing, as it's one of my favorites. I almost just tossed it straight into the trash. So I left it in my hamper for a week, thinking nothing would get it out and figuring out if I wanted to keep it as a junky, fresh-hair-dye item. So the dye sat in it that entire week. When I did my laundry, I decided just to try the stain remover, to see if any of it would lift out. I soaked it and left it for a few hours and then washed it. Somehow, the bra came out without a single hint of dye. Absolutely none! I can't believe it. I've been telling everyone who dyes their hair that this is a must have product! Normally nothing, and I mean NOTHING will get hair dye out of clothing. Especially for a natural product! It's amazing!" —Customer

Promising review: "Love, love these markers. I've been using these for three years and they are still going. Some of my friends have seen me using them and asked how they could get some! Love the fine lines they make — would use them as everyday pens if I wasn't afraid they'd run out." —Tracie

amazon.com

Promising review: "I love everything about this wonderful product, and I honestly can't think of one thing I dislike. I use this product mainly for my feet/toenails. It works wonders keeping my feet moisturized and clean, not dry or cracked. This product has never caused me irritation or discomfort. I also sometimes add it to a cleaning mixture for the scent and cleaning/antibacterial properties. The smell is strong, but I don't mind it. The little bottle makes for easy use. The product is affordable, and I've been using this specific one for a few years now and I will continue doing so. I love it! I do believe it would help cure any fungal issues one has with their nails. I highly recommend this product!" —Amazon Customer

I used to be able to get these at the grocery store proper, but they stopped carrying them a couple of years ago for whatever reason. Fortunately they're on Amazon and I remain a steady and steadfast customer! These things are great; recommended!" —Steven Woodcock

A lot of people compare it to the Magic Eraser in paste form, so even your weirdest, most stubborn stains will meet their match.

Promising review: "I purchased a huge tub of this cleaner years ago and loved it ever since. I use this especially to clean the glass in my wood burning stove. The cleaner purchased at the big box store specifically for stove glass actually ruined the finish and the so-called polishing ingredient scratched the glass. This is the best and perfect cleaner to use all around the house. It is truly amazing!!! Love it. Please package a bigger size container." —Tree Lover

8. Essence's Lash Princess mascara, because TBH, we've all wasted too many years and too much money looking for the ~holy grail~ mascara. This one is less than $5 and will give you such instant length you'll feel like your eyelashes are about to pull a Butterfree and take flight.

Emma Lord/BuzzFeed

Hello, that is my face above, because I bought into the hype of over 134,000 positive reviews and now I will never look back!! Putting it on is like giving my eyelashes butterfly wings. It doesn't get clumpy, it stays put ALL the live long day (I spent all of this ridiculously hot pandemic summer wearing it, so I can speak to that), and you can apply it on very lightly if you don't want it to look so dramatic, or continue applying for longer lashes each time.

Promising review: "I have been buying this mascara for years, and it is HANDS DOWN the best mascara for the price. It outperforms any other drugstore mascara I have ever used, and is honestly on par with some of the higher-end formulas. This mascara FULLY coats the lashes and gets them thick and voluminous. Two coats aren't even necessary but you can certainly add another layer to get them extra long and volumized." —suasorius

Get it from Amazon for $4.99.

9. A sleep-focused essential oils blend made with chamomile, sage, and lavender to help soothe anxiety and reduce stress before bedtime and promote prolonged sleep.

amazon.com

Promising review: "This is a fantastic product. I started putting this in my diffuser several years ago, to help my husband sleep. At the time he was taking several pills a night that the doctor prescribed, was still waking up all night and extremely tired in the day. After starting this product I was able to wean him off all meds and he is able to stay asleep all night. Great product!!" —Charlotte H.

Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind concealer, an inexpensive lightweight concealer for anyone who wants to quickly touch up before Zoom calls or walks around the neighborhood, but doesn't want to commit to a whole layer of foundation. This also helps cover dark circles without caking and reduce puffiness.

Kayla Suazo / BuzzFeed

TBH, six months ago I started using this myself (although this is BuzzFeed editor Kayla Suazo's lovely human face above), and I am mad that I wasted time with other concealers for so long. I am a deeply impatient person who likes to look good and does not like to put in effort in any way, shape, or form, and Maybelline created this so that people like me could gracelessly slap it on in the morning and be like "OKAY, REFLECTION, YOU GOT THIS" before being on their merry way. It never cakes, I look way more awake than I have any right to, and I never struggle to blend it the way I do with other concealers. 11/10 subscribe.

Promising review: "I have used this product for years under my eyes, and have found that it blends and covers much better using a wet brush to blend after using the sponge applicator. It eliminates the cakey buildup and settling into creases that I originally experienced." —Sue Lorenz

11. A set of Sea Bands, which target an acupuncture point on your wrists meant to help reduce nausea. Basically, if you're someone who gets motion sickness (is it just me, or is it getting worse as we get older??), morning sickness, migraine nausea, or even nausea brought on by cramps, this may the be thing to take you from 🥴to 😊.

amazon.com

Promising review: "Nearly eliminated my motion sickness. I was on a ferry crossing the English Channel and it was a bit rough and I was down. I got nauseous and had to lay down near the center of the ship. I just curled up on the floor feeling terrible. A tour bus driver gave me a pair of these bands to wear. I was skeptical but being too sick to argue just put them on. After maybe 10 minutes I felt way better. I was able to get up, go outside and look out on the water. I still felt a bit motion sick but was able to walk around without feeling like I was going to throw up. I don’t understand how these work but I went from the fetal position to freely walking around the ship so I’m highly satisfied with them. I got sick on aircraft a few times before I had these but now I now wear these every time I get on an aircraft and never had a problem. I used that same pair I got on the English channel for over 10 years. I got another pair a while back so I could always keep one in my luggage and one in my backpack so that I’d never forget them. I got a new pair recently because after 10+ years of use they got a little loose and I wanted to have a more tight fit." —A Shopper

Get a set of two from Amazon for $8.53 (available in adult and children's sizes).

12. A suuuper popular Bio-Oil made with vitamins A and E, chamomile, and lavender — you may recognize it as a product a lot of people use to help fade scars (both old and new), soothe cracked and dry skin, and help moisturize without affecting your pores, but people are also using it in quarantine to help with dry and painful skin on their hands from hand-washing and sanitizing.

instagram.com

FWIW re: scars, though, this stuff really works. I had thyroid surgery a few years ago and Bio-Oil took me from looking like I'd stumbled out of the Red Wedding to virtually no detectable scar within a few months. All I did was apply it once in the morning and once at night.

Promising review: "I've used this stuff for a few years, and I have to tell you it's pretty much replaced lotion for me. I don't put it on thick though. It makes my legs and feet silky smooth. Even putting it on the bottoms of my feet, they don't get greasy or slippery. I put it a dab on my lips to avoid chapping and lines. I dab some on the outside of my eyes to counter the crow's feet that are trying to form. Dry ankles, knees, knuckles, or elbows? Saturate them. Chapped nipples from running in the cold (or whatever you're doing to make them chapped)? Dab some on. I've used it on my face as a moisturizer in a pinch." —Rebecca Blake

Get it from Amazon for $8.92 (available in three sizes).

13. A bottle of Dr Teal's foaming bath with Epsom salt to help ease all the mysterious aches and pains and generalized body nonsense that comes with existing as an adult.

Promising review: "This is a very pleasant lavender aroma. It's just the right potency so as not to be overwhelming as you're soaking. The epsom salts are just what I need after a long day. It really helps my low back pain and is very soothing for tired legs as well. This creates lots of wonderful suds and makes quite the luxurious bath. We've been using Dr. Teals for many years — this is one of our favorites. We find that we both get a better night's rest as it helps us to relax and unwind from the hectic day. Absolutely recommend!" —Yorkie Mama

These REALLY work!" —Erik C.

15. A memory foam seat cushion for your tushy that a lot of reviewers swear by to reduce pressure on their tailbone and help with lower back pain cause from prolonged sitting. Your uncomfy WFH chairs have officially met their match.

amazon.com

Promising review: "Love it! Great cushion for me. This is actually the second one I own. I have one in my home office and one at work. They make my seat very comfortable and take pressure off my tailbone and lower back. Out of trying a few cheaper cushions, this one is by far my favorite, and the foam is durable, keeping its shape and density over the last few years. I’m a bigger guy and it holds up. I will say that after a very long work day, it’s less responsive, but the cushion bounces back overnight for the next day. It has a cozy plush covering top with a textured bottom to prevent slipping off the chair. I've already bought two of these, and I will definitely buy more in the future." —Rock Daddy

Get it from Amazon for $34.97 (clip the "10% off" coupon on the product page for this price).
