The new Windows 10 version is introduced to Insiders, but this is just a non-functional test

  • Microsoft is testing its service pipeline in preparation for new updates.
  • Cumulative updates for Windows 10 are being rolled out to Windows Insiders.
  • This version does not contain any new features but can be used as a test of the Microsoft service pipeline.
  • This update makes Windows 10 build 20236.1005 (KB4587587).

Microsoft has introduced another version of Windows 10 to Insiders, but the new version does not contain any new features. Instead, it acts as a test of the Microsoft service pipeline.

This version brings Windows 10 to 20236.1005 (KB4587587). This is not the first time we have seen Microsoft launch an internal version without features for testing.

Testing the service pipeline is Microsoft’s normal practice to cause new updates to be released.

Microsoft released another version to Insiders on the development channel earlier this week, but that version also did not contain any new features, although it did fix many bugs.

If you want to check out some of the new features recently introduced to Insiders, you can watch our latest video on Windows 10 Build 20236.

This video aggregates the changes from multiple versions and packs them into a convenient video to show that everything is new.
