Regret cannot turn back the clock (III)

Life can be a rough road but each time we must never forget that we have a choice on whether to be positive or Negative. Nobody has control over how we feel except ourselves. We decide how we will respond to people, issues and situations. Life will throw darts at us but life does not determine how we will react to it.

“You cannot change reality, but you can control the manner in which you look at things. Your Attitude is under your own control. Weed out the negative and focus on the positive!” Helen Steiner Rice

If our lives will really count we must resolve to be positive. Being positive is more difficult than being negative. The tendency is that we are more likely to tend towards negativity than the positive. The media thrives and sells more on dwelling and dishing out negative news than positive. When we hear a hundred positive things and one negative thing we are more likely to remember the single negative thing than the many other positive things.

We must understand that even though there is the tendency to gravitate to the negative than to the positive we must understand that the negative is dangerous. Negative poisons and pollutes. It creates a pessimistic atmosphere and an air of trying to just give things a trial with a strong feeling that things will go wrong.

We must develop a positive attitude consciously. It is an attitude we must deliberately choose to acquire. Being positive will always provoke and empower our motivation to be optimistic.

“Optimism is a happiness magnet. If you stay positive, good things and good people will be drawn to you.”  Mary Lou Retton

A positive person will always see the bright side of life.

“No matter what you’re going through, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel and it may seem hard to get to it but you can do it and just keep working towards it and you’ll find the positive side of things.” Demi Lovato

A positive person will always see the woods from the trees. He will see the glass as half full rather than half empty.

“People tend to focus on the things that they don’t like about themselves. While that’s important for change, it’s equally important to focus on what they love about themselves. For every one thing you dislike about yourself, think of five things you like about yourself. It’s a balancing act.” Tom Giaquinto

Being positive will yield great dividends.

“If you have a positive attitude and constantly strive to give your best effort, eventually you will overcome your immediate problems and find you are ready for greater challenges.” Pat Riley

There a number of things we can do to become positive people.
