Your Weekly Music Fix

So many things are happening in the music world nowadays it’s hard for me to choose what exactly to talk about. I have several ideas in regards to the music posts but today I want to share some of the great music I discovered this week. I hope you find something of your liking and you enjoy this post (and the music associated with it)!

Two great rock songs came out this week, I found a new band to get obsessed with, an amazing piece of art was released which might just be the greatest collaboration in the music world recently. And on top of things Mötley Crüe collaborated with Machine Gun Kelly.

For this reason, I decided it will be a good idea to combine the songs that made an impression on me during the week and share them all in one post while saying a few words about them. I would love to turn this into a weekly thing where I share my music discoveries with you but I don’t want to make any promises at this point. However, I would love your feedback so let me know if you would like to see more posts like this one. And let’s get to the music without further ado and rambling!

  1. Vukovi – C.L.A.U.D.I.A

This video changed the song so much and this is just another sign of how good Vukovi are getting with their art. I have been blasting this song a few times every day since it came out and I can’t get enough, following those guys for almost two years after I saw them bring the house down while supporting PVRIS and seeing them grow so rapidly is just fueling my soul. Their energy and passion are extremely high and even though they had some hardships to overcome the new era which is starting with C.L.A.U.D.I.A is definitely going to be a strong one. I can’t wait to see them take over the rock music world. And I definitely can’t wait to hear the new album!

The song is amazing in terms of sound and lyrics and the visuals supporting the release are sick as well! The song explores a very personal topic but also a relevant problem which will make you contemplate on your health and life. Typical for Vukovi quality lyrics with lots of emotion and a story behind them plus super blood-pumping instrumentals and rebellious vibes. Must hear!

2. TylerSon – For A While

I am super happy to see some releases from this guy! This is his third single and I have to say his music is getting better and better with each new song. His style and vibe are eerie and melancholic with obvious emotion put into each song and each line of lyrics. And the instrumentals are just a killer. I’m sure he is only going to get better and better and I can’t wait to see what he has prepared next.

For A While is definitely my favorite of his releases so far – the relaxing tone of the song with the emotional and striking lyrics create an amazing contrast which makes listening to the song an entire experience. And makes you think about your own life and possible struggles.

3. The Regrettes – California Friends

This is one of the best music discoveries I made recently and this is by far my favorite song from the band. I was lucky enough to see them live supporting Twenty One Pilots and there couldn’t be a better way to get introduced to their music.

The moment they set feet on the stage you could literally feel the pinball energy they charged the venue with. A super genuine and down-to-earth band, watching them perform live I could tell they were doing the show for their own fun and entertainment. And when you are relaxed and are doing something because you are having fun with it it what can go wrong? They were one of the best supporting bands I have seen and they were incredibly refreshing, recharging, and energizing. The lyrics of the songs are super personal and real and I think they only write songs when something makes a striking impression and change in their lives. And that’s how they produce super catchy and addictive songs – add the amazing instrumentals, the trashy punk vibe and their masterful way of charging your soul with energy and you will definitely fall in love with The Regrettes!

4. YUNGBLUD, Halsey, and Travis Barker – 11 Minutes

Thank’s God I have amazing people in my life who send me those great songs! YUNGBLUD has been everywhere recently and I kept postponing checking him out till this Thursday. And damn I have been missing out. This guy has a seriously amazing vibe and voice (strongly reminding of the mild creepiness of Billie Eilish) and his lyrics are on the damn point.

This song, in particular, is a collaboration between a rising star in the music world, the queen of alternative pop/rock, and probably the best drummer in the world. If this is not enough to tell you that the song is simply amazing watch the video carefully and listen to the lyrics, instrumentals, and beats. It’s seriously perfect – from the heartfelt and real storytelling presented in the best possible way, to the super strong lyrics, and the great video. Halsey and YOUNGBLUD compliment each other in every possible sense and sound amazing together. Travis Barker… Do I need to say anything about him? His drumming is on top-level as expected. A great song with lots of meaning and ways of interpretation. I highly recommend checking YOUNGBLUD out, don’t make my mistake and don’t wait. He has great stuff.

5. Mötley Crüe – The Dirt (Est. 1981) (feat. Machine Gun Kelly)

A last moment addition to this post which is another must-hear song, The Dirt (Est. 1981) is part of the autobiographical movie Mötley Crüe are releasing on the 22nd of March.

Even the first few seconds of the song are enough to turn your blood into fuel and start your engine – you can easily tell the song is a hardcore banger. Furthermore, it perfectly combines modern tunes with classic hard rock to create a vintage sound with a contemporary twist which will make any rock fan happy. There is a lot to explore in the song from the playful and energizing lyrics about the rockstar life which would fill you up with rebellious vibes and motivation to do your thing and do it well to the amazing instrumentals, and the video which is simply astonishing. Both the lyrics and video are telling a great, entertaining, inspiring, and also funny story of the rockstar life of Mötley Crüe and serve as the perfect teaser to get you hyped about the movie. The rap with wich Machine Gun Kelly contributes makes the song even better and what I love about it is not only the fitting lyrics and vibe with which he adjusted. He also really went into his role as part of the Crüe and managed to transmit the same energy and fit into the biographical aspect of the song. The movie is sure to be amazing and with a soundtrack like this, I am getting even more hyped!

Those were the five songs and artists that I have been obsessed with this week. I hope you found some good music in my suggestions and you enjoyed this post. Thanks a lot for reading and let me know what you think of those songs! Should I make more posts like this with my weekly music discoveries?
