A while ago I wrote a post about the inspiration and the positivity that the Aussie hip-hop talents Bliss n Eso share with us. Today Eso aka Esoterik released his third solo song which by no means falls behind the masterpieces that the trio is used to producing. I can’t help myself to say a few words about the song and encourage you to show some love to Esoterik and his creative genius.

Two years ago one of the core members of the legendary hip-hop trio Bliss n Eso announced he will be doing solo songs once in a while. Since then he has released two amazing, inspiring masterpieces – Sunny Days and Be Like You both telling part of his story and spreading love and positivity to the listeners.

On the 20th of February, Esoterik unexpectedly teased some new visuals and announced a new song is on the way. And here it is, a day later Bless Up is out and once again it has preserved Eso‘s values, believes and core messages. Check it out

Video and Visuals

Esoterik seems to have decided on his signature video style and graphics and incorporated the same style he had used for the video of Be Like You. Needless to say, the visuals are amazing (almost comic-like), great transitions and very interesting color grading which makes you think you have accidentally consumed some weird shrooms. It sets the vibe for the song quite well.

Beat and Vibe

Bliss and Eso‘s creative genius didn’t stray away from the usual beat and vibe he as a solo artist and Bliss and Eso as a band have always worked with. And that’s no surprise – it works well and it fits their character in a great way so why not go with it? The tune makes you wanna get up and move around no matter how f*cked up you have been feeling until you played the track and it definitely helps for the overall feeling of freshening up and realizing how good life can be if you actually start appreciating the good things and focus on them.

Lyrics and Soul Food

There are so many things to say about those killer lyrics. Esoterik went from dissing haters in the most brutal and playful way to reminding listeners that life is good and we should live it up. And of course, he did this with his lightning speed rap. If you listen to Bliss N Eso for a while you can see that one of the most important things that Eso wants to point out is that haters have the right to affect you and hate on you only if you allow them to do it. Good thing to keep in mind.

Esoterik has been through some bad sh*t and he barely made it out alive. Maybe this is the reason he is enjoying life so much at the moment and he is feeling extremely grateful for what he has, but more importantly, he has decided to focus on the positive things instead of the negative and this is obviously transmitted in his songs and live shows.

His passion and energy are easy to feel while listening to the song and there is no questioning he indeed has the good s*it, the soul food, and he has become one with the stars. The lyrics spread positivity and encourage listeners to appreciate themselves, what they have, and not let anyone stop them do what they believe in and enjoy. I am lucky enough to have people in my life who often remind me of that (Thank you for that!), but the song is a good wake up call for everyone. Im just spreading the message, but – it’s all about the attitude with which you approach things.

Bless Up is definitely a good way to refresh and get some inspiration to start doing what you love and believe in. The lyrics, visuals and beat were carefully selected and work together well contributing to the overall feeling of enjoyment and recharging.
