Tesco has introduced an egg Chair to stores following the popularity of Aldi’s hanging egg chair. However, the new item is available only in 100 stores across the UK.
Tesco’s egg chair costs £150, which is only 1p more expensive than Aldi’s, and it is a standing version instead of a hanging chair.
Like Aldi’s sell-out chair, Tesco’s chair features an oval basket and comes with grey cushions.
Available only in 100 Tesco stores, the supermarket giant is yet to confirm which shops are currently stocking the chair.
In the meantime, customers can give their local store a ring to check whether they have the chair in stock.

Aldi Specialbuys launch every Thursday and Sunday mornings, and the hanging egg chair was once again restocked online over the Easter weekend.
After going on sale at 8am, the chair was sold out in minutes and more than 80,000 people were stuck in a virtual queue trying to get their hands on one.
Some customers missed out on the chair after waiting in the queue for hours.
One angry shopper said on the Aldi website: “On the website all night for these invisible egg chairs just a ploy to get you on their website! Disgusting Aldi!”
eBay has several hanging egg chairs for sale too, some pricier than others, such as a luxury design version which costs £279.
Etsy is another online retailer that stocks hanging egg chairs.
La Zori handmade is an English seller based in Newbury and has a hammock hanging egg chair for only £69.
There are egg chairs also available on Amazon, such as a black rattan version for £249.99 by Cumbria-based seller Cherry Tree Furniture.
