Xiaomi is reportedly working on its next budget smartphone dubbed as Redmi S2, the device has been recently surfaced in firmware files. Now, Xiaomi Redmi S2 with model number M1803E6E has been spotted on Chinese certification website, TENAA, that reveals the key specifications of the device.

As per TENAA listing, the Xiaomi Redmi S2 runs on MIUI 9 based on Android 8.1.0 Oreo operating system. It sports a 5.99” HD+ (1440 x 720 pixel) display with 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone is powered by a 2.0 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. It offers three memory configurations – 2GB/ 3GB/ 4GB of RAM along with 16GB/ 32GB/ 64GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Xiaomi Redmi S2 comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 12MP primary and 8MP secondary sensors along with LED flash support for better lowlight capturing. On the front, it has a 16MP shooter for selfies and video calls.

The Xiaomi Redmi S2 is fueled by a 3000 mAh battery. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS and a micro-USB port. There is also a fingerprint scanner at the back. It measures 160.73 x 77.26 x 8.1 mm and weighs 170 grams.

The Xiaomi Redmi S2 is expected to launch on Wednesday, April 25 along with Xiaomi Redmi Mi 6X.  It comes in Black, Rose Gold, Gold, White, Blue, Red, Pink, Gray, and Silver colour options.
