Nokia X Certified by 3C in China, Could be a Low-end Device

HMD Global is expected to launch a new Smartphone dubbed as Nokia X on April 27 in China. The smartphone got the necessary 3C certification in China which means that the launch of the smartphone is around the corner.

Two new Nokia phones with model numbers TA-1099 and TA-1109 have been Certified by the Chinese Communications Commission (3C) which are said to be the two variants of Nokia X. Unlike TENAA, 3C doesn’t reveal much about the specs of the phone but it does reveal that the alleged Nokia X will be enabled with 5V/2A (10W)  power supply which will lack fast charging. This is the basic charger that ships with most entry-level and mid-range devices that do not support fast charging. The absence of fast charging capabilities points to the direction that the Nokia X is going to be another low-end phone with just decent specifications.

Nokia X is said to be a 2018 edition of the Nokia X which was launched in 2014. The original Nokia X was the first entry-level smartphone that runs on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) corresponding to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The smartphone had a 4” IPS display and was powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor.
