Since the mid-1990’s, I have begun fantasizing about going to a remote island where I can encounter and connect with beautiful and exotic ladies. A part of me has wished that I can actually escape there from an ongoing reality of disappointment, frustration, social awkwardness, etc. Fortunately, my dream has come true when I have traveled to Barranquilla, Colombia and started dating for the first time in July 2008. Going to Santiago, Dominican Republic and especially Odessa, Ukraine almost a decade later has really taken my mind away from online dating or local dating forever. I have realized how easier it is to communicate, date, and/or bond with most females abroad than it is in United States. Despite that I sometimes experience loneliness or rejection where I live, I know that God and my family are with me. No matter who you (American or Westernized man) are, like myself, you are incapable to escape from the perception and treatment of society. Based on your looks, income, race, skin complexion, etc., other people are going to respect and value you or do the total opposite. If you choose to be with a woman of a different race, background, or culture, you may face bigger issues especially with your family members, friends, and/or others around you.

Traveling abroad, based on my personal experiences, is neither easy nor intended for everyone. But, its positive outcome is being in physical contact with gorgeous women who have various mentalities, personality traits, and so on. In addition, you may meet and befriend like-minded and open-minded American/Western males who also want to escape their negative realities too. Those who are dark-skinned or the same race that I am may be called “Passport brothers” or “Passport bros”.

So, why are they frankly given that name by the media?

According to my online research, these 4 recent reasons explain my point of view:

Predominantly, they are black men.

It is no surprise that black males are constantly discriminated or falsely accused of evil or criminal activities. Just visit “SoulSnack” YouTube channel to understand my perspective. The unfortunate result of many of the men visiting other nations for sexual intercourse or serious relationships is a plethora of social media content (photos, text, videos, etc.) that negatively portrays them. As an African-American man myself, I am most likely discriminated, stereotyped, falsely accused, or rejected by society too. I cannot hide or escape from how I look or how other people perceive and treat me. All I can do is be the person whom God has designed me to be 100%. Creating this international dating blog and an amazing international dating business with Elizabeth are my best accomplishments. Hopefully, like me, you can overcome ignorance of society and obstacles in order to reach your goals.

They are supportive to the MGTOW community when it comes to anti-feminism.

Suzanne Venker of Fox News channel has come up with this unforgettable quote “women aren’t women anymore”. In some way, it is astounding that these words have come out of the mouth of a lady. She has therefore encouraged Passport bros to seek females with better and desirable characteristics abroad. The men are able to feel (more) relaxed, empowered, and comfortable in being themselves inside and out. I agree with this totally due to my personal experiences especially in Colombia and Ukraine. It can be difficult being a man (or more difficult because I am dark-skinned) in America or the Western world. Hence, I truly understand why the MGTOW community has increased since the past decade. The difference between countless MGTOW members and myself is that I accept American/Western women for who they are. If I really want to be in a monogamous relationship with one of those females, then I have to deal with her baggage. Nonetheless, the same thing applies to foreign/non-Westernized ladies who are imperfect as well. What matters is choosing the woman who is right for me or you.

They want to commit and promote international sex tourism.

Initially, men in their late teens, 20’s, and even 30’s are targeted and treated as predators or perverts in United Kingdom. Nowadays, the Passport bros follow their footsteps regardless of where they go worldwide. This tragic and difficult case has falsely accuse the innocent males who are sincere and interested in finding true love. Fortunately, they can overcome the stigma of being labeled ‘sex tourists’ by applying for the K1 or K2 fiance visa and legally marrying women from other countries. Another option is applying for the K3 or K4 spousal visa if the males choose to wed the ladies in their own nations. Either way, the men would have their beautiful and stunning wives by their side. Plus, the men would receive more honor and respect from others locally, nationally, and globally. I strongly believe that you gain more success and happiness after following your heart than you do if you please others (e.g. your relatives, friends, and the rest of society). Instead of facing fear, regret, and possible loneliness, you would be rewarded with courage, self-confidence, and a possible love with a lady who appreciates and values who you are.

They refuse to enter the domestic dating pool again.

More men seem tired of being alone, mistreated, and/or rejected. They are frustrated with both local and online dating. Family and friends who play as their matchmakers can make the men feel worse and perhaps suicidal. So, why would the males not think about disappearing or getting in airplanes and flying somewhere better? Thanks to social media and the successful rate of international couples, Passport bros can expand their dating options. They can meet incredible females who can exceed their expectations. Similar to the men, based on my personal experiences overseas, I have indeed created positive relationships with foreign ladies. Almost 9 years ago, my sister and I have visited Kings Dominion in Virginia so that I can reunite with my Colombian friend and former translator and meeting her mother and American husband for the first time. 3 years and a couple of months later, I have met and bonded with Elizabeth in Odessa, Ukraine. Now, we have this amazing online business of almost 3 years together. I am looking forward to the upcoming website of our business in hopes of helping ladies from her dating agency connect with serious Western males. Conclusion

Passport bros may be compared to the MGTOW community based on the negative viewpoint of society. The difference, however, is that they do not let fear, anger, and other negative emotions keep them in their comfort zones. They are just focused and motivated to turn their goals and dreams into reality. As a result, I call them real Men of Action. With new mindsets, they can:

• explore diverse cultures
• create everlasting memories (including images and videos of their trips abroad)
• retain significant relationships with foreigners

I am proud to be a Man of Action. I may be a Passport bro too due to my race or skin color. But, what matters is that I have traveled to 3 astounding nations and created long-lasting memories with certain individuals there. I have spent an unforgettable Saturday with one of them in United States. Currently, I am managing an international dating business with another on the Internet. Ergo, I am forever grateful to the Lord God for who I am and where I am today.

If God or your heart is encouraging you to go somewhere (e.g. another city, state, or country) and reach your goals, you really should listen.

If you choose to ignore it, you may regret it and face unpleasant consequences.

However, God may give you another chance to follow your heart like He has done with Jonah.

God unconditionally loves and cares about us.

He wants us to do our best and be happier than ever.
