One is not born a woman, one becomes one.
I am a Woman. I am the definition of myself, yet we women define ourselves, our ways not to be the slaves but to be the masters. We shape the world in a way no one can. We live our lives with the struggle for our family for our betterment. But do not tell me to live my life struggling to fit in a box laid by society or culture. Feeling anxious about whether I am right or where I fit.
There is so much uniqueness in me. I play many important roles in my life. To someone, I am a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a granny. It takes a lot of guts to be all of these in life. But this world does not understand any of this. They need a girlfriend for making love. A wife to look after everything. A mother to take care of them, but they will kill the baby girl in the womb. They judge my appearance, how I walk, how I talk, what I wear. They call me slut, a whore, and just awful, awful things. But I can tell myself that these people don’t know me, can’t hurt me.
Yes, life is harsh and there were some difficult times, I am sure you know. But through it all, when something is stopping me I break it, I face it, I do it my way and I stood tall. Nobody is going to stop me from getting over these boundaries and barriers. I am a butterfly who wants to take a leap of freedom, but don’t cut my wings. I can sting like a bee.
There is no force more powerful than a woman determined to rise
I believe in myself. I believe in being strong when everything seems lost. I believe that the happiest woman is the prettiest woman. I have the willingness to listen. The patience to understand. The strength to support. The heart to care and a soul to love. This is the beauty of me.
I am a woman. I rise. I shine. I hustle…
