Festive Eyes

Necessary Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette

Beautycounter is ahead of the safety game when it comes to its eyeshadows. My eyes are very sensitive, and I love that the company tests every batch of pigment for heavy metals to ensure it meets their industry-leading safety standards. (Animal lovers rejoice: Beautycounter never tests their products on animals, nor do they ask others to test on animals on their behalf.)

When I heard that Beautycounter was launching a brand-new neutrals palette this holiday I was super excited. The Ultimate Nudes palette has been a fan-favorite ever since it launched last holiday, so I expect this one will also be equally as exciting!

The limited edition Necessary Neutrals Eyeshadow Palette has 18 long-lasting shades designed to flatter all skin tones, including the two most popular shades of the Classic Palette: Sable and Suede. (FYI - I always the shades Sable and Suede in the Classic Palette, so I can leave that one behind when I travel).

The white and gold-embossed palette has a removable mirror like the rest of the palettes, and like the Ultimate Nudes palette before it, also has a double-ended eyeshadow brush, making it perfect for travel. I will be writing an in-depth review on this palette so stay tuned for swatches and a couple of looks soon.

For now, here are the shades in this palette:

I am especially excited about creating sultry a purple shadow look with Burgundy, Haze and Port, and a warm look with Flame, Clove and Brandy. Warm toned looks with a shade as bright as Flame is outside of my comfort zone, but they say the best things happen when you step out your comfort zone, am I right? Snag the Necessary Neutrals Palette here.

Stardust Cream Eyeshadow Set

In college I loved wearing eyeshadow creams for a quick and effortless look and as an eyeshadow primer, but the few I've come across lately had questionable ingredients. Last year's holiday collection had shimmer eyeshadow creams and I can't wait to try this holiday season's Stardust Cream Eyeshadow Set.

Whenever I think of eye makeup, I usually think of the multi-step transition + lid + crease + highlight shades. There's something to be said about simplicity, especially in the cozier, holiday season. Pair that with the hustle and bustle of extra-curricular activities, concerts, and football games, and it's easy to see why sometimes a simpler look makes life easier.

Personally, I cannot get over how gorgeous the shades Orion (soft gold) and Stella (warm amethyst) are! They all have a hint of sheen to brighten the eye area, and all are made without silicones. Instead, their key ingredients are aloe leaf for soothing + hydration, jojoba seed oil for immediate hydration, and Tocopherol (a form of Vitamin E) for its conditioning antioxidants.

Get your eyes twinkling like stars with this set.

Lips

You. Guys. Allllll the heart emojis over the lip collections released for holiday. I want all of them! I'm only going to cover a couple here, but you can find the rest of them here.

New Mini Lip Gloss Vault

More heart emojis. Look at these gorgeous COLORS!!! From the moment I saw what was launching for holiday, this Lip Gloss girl new she HAD to have the mini lip gloss vault!

I love Beautycounter lip gloss in Bare Shimmer, and I love layering them over sheer lipstick. I've always been a lip gloss girl. It adds a dainty feminine touch that lipstick just cannot do. Maybe one day I'll feel differently. This set is great to hoard keep for yourself, or split up for gifts for all the women in your life.

I'll admit, the darker hues look a little intimidating, but since they are sheer, they're more of a wash of color. See the swatches above. Fig looks absolutely gorgeous on olive skin tones like mine, and I can't WAIT until my mini lip gloss vault arrives in the mail!

New Nudes Lip Gloss Trio

I've been impatiently waiting for Beautycounter to release a nude lip gloss and they did NOT disappoint with this trio! OMG. Since I've always loved the natural color of my lips I've always been drawn to lip glosses, and I love the non-stickyness of all Beautycounter lip glosses. Up until now, my favorite has been Bare Shimmer.

The limited edition New Nudes Lip Gloss Trio has three brand-new shades with a delightful peppermint taste. All of the holiday lip products have a peppermint taste and scent, and I think it's the prefect pick-me-up for when the weather is gray and dreary. New Nudes Lip Gloss Trio is gonna be a permanent fixture in my purse! My favorite shade is Spiced, and it looks gorgeous on all skintones!

All three shades are neutral to warm nude in tone. Both Spices and Praline have gold shimmer in them, and Caramel has no shimmer to it. It's a perfect little set to keep for yourself, or to split up into teacher's gifts or as stocking-stuffers.

Made with carnauba wax, jojoba seed oil, and tocopherol (a form of Vitamin E), these glosses are super hydrating. As always, Beautycounter never includes any synthetic fragrances that may contain potentially harmful ingredients, and every batch is tested for heavy metals. Treat yourself with your own set here.

Mini Color Intense Lipstick Vault

I am not even a lipstick girl and I want this Mini Color Intense Lipstick Vault! As a person who is lipstick shy, I'm shocked that the bright pink Front Row is calling my name! What's a girl to do?!

I mean....SWOON! Amiright? All of these colors go on super smoothly with a satin finish. They all also have a peppermint flavor keeping in line with all of the holiday edition glosses. Which one is your favorite?

Transforming Lip Duo

Where my 90s babies at? Remember how cool mood rings were and how they would turn a different color for your friend? (And getting jealous that their color was prettier? I digress). Well, I present to you MOOD RING LIPSTICK! Ok, it's not really called that, but the Transforming Duo is as close to a mood ring for your lips as you'll ever get without toxic chemicals.

Face

First Light Highlighter Kit

Here's another dilemma of mine. This First Light Highlighter Palette has the popular Halo highlighter in it, plus two new shades: Golden and Sunkissed. I just ordered the Luminous Highlighter in Topaz (because, GOR-GEOUS-NESS and all of the bronzy goodness you'd ever want!) and I'm having a serious case of FOMO with this palette.

Both models are wearing Sunkissed, but the highlighter looks different on each skintone. Isn't it gorgeous? I've tried a few other highlighters before, and the ones with obvious flecks of glitter in them turn me off. I thought all highlighters were the same, but Beautycounter's diffuse light gorgeously. I think I might want this highlighter set, too. Argh!
