Ingredients:
4 slices of bread (preferably slightly stale)
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
Butter or oil for cooking
Mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries) for topping
Maple syrup or powdered sugar for serving
Directions:
In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, ground cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt.
Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure to coat both sides evenly.
In a skillet or frying pan, melt a bit of butter or heat oil over medium heat.
Place the dipped bread slices onto the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, usually about 2-3 minutes per side.
Once cooked, transfer the French Toast to serving plates.
Top the French toast with a handful of mixed berries.
Drizzle maple syrup over the French toast and berries or sprinkle with powdered sugar, as desired.
Serve the Cinnamon French Toast with Berries while warm.
