The Honda Motorcycle and Scooter Pvt Ltd have unveiled today the Honda Activa 5G Automatic Scooter at the 2018 Auto Expo.
The new Honda Activa 5G Automatic Scooter will come in two new dazzle yellow metallic and pearl spartan red colors in addition to existing blue, red, black, white and brown paint shade. Presently, the Honda Activa, a tried and tested product from Honda is the top selling scooter from Honda. It has 58 percent market share in the scooter segment. The new 5th generation scooter which gets new deluxe variant will further add to its sales keeping in mind the confidence the brand enjoys in the market.

Honda Activa 5G Automatic Scooter –Engine
The Honda Activa 5G Automatic Scooter comes with 109.19cc, air-cooled, 4-stroke BSIV compliant petrol engine with mileage maximizing HET (Honda Engine Technology). It delivers 8 bhp maximum power at 7500 rpm and 9 Nm peak torque at 5500 rpm. The engine is paired with a CVT automatic transmission which facilitates it smooth maneuvering in city traffic. The company claims a top speed of around 83 km.

The latest features that will come in the new scooter are digital-analog meter and ECO speed indicator and service due indicator, full LED headlamp, day time running light LED, position lamp indicator and front chrome garnish. It will also have mobile charging socket which is essential today. It offers 18 litre of under-seat storage space.

The new Honda Activa 5G Automatic Scooter will be launched soon in the Indian market, probably at the first week of March, 2018 itself. The exact price of the scooter is yet to be revealed but is expected to have a price tag about Rs 52,000 plus.

The new Honda Activa 5G Automatic Scooter will rival with likes of TVS Jupiter, Yamaha Alpha, Hero Maestro Edge etc.
