From Honda to Maruti, Here are 6 Affordable Sedans in 2018

Sedans offer rich look, practicality and comfort. That’s why there is a huge market for sedan. In India itself, Sedans become all-time favorites with big boot space and roomy rear row space. Lucky for you, sedan lovers, because in 2018, there are many affordable sedans launched. Not only cheap, they also offer some modern feature. From Honda to Maruti, here are 6 Affordable Sedans in 2018.

Nissan Sunny FL

When it comes to space, The Nissan Sunny is worth to be considered though it’s not best-selling car. As you know, Nissan will launch the new version next year based on the new Micra K14 platform. Launched globally, there’s difference between the global market version and Indian version.

On global market, the all new Nissan Sunny will get the V-Platform. On the other sides, we will have the CMF architecture based sedan. The new version may also shorter than the current model. There is 1.5-Litre Petrol Engine which is available with the Duster. You can also pick the diesel option with 1.5 litre, 108 Bhp unit.

Ford Figo Aspire

The best-selling car from Ford is scheduled to get a facelift in 2018. The sub 4-meter sedan made its debut some years ago and now will get refinement. It will get a new grille and minor styling changes to keep it up-to-date and crisp. The Ford Figo Aspire is estimated to get 1.2 litre Dragon petrol engine from the all-new 1.5 litre three-pot motor. The diesel one is expected to remain the same.

Toyota Vios

We all know that Toyota has already become the leading brand in many segments in India. But, Toyota is still absent from this competitive sedan segment. Toyota Vios will rival the likes of Maruti Ciaz and Hyundai Verna in the mid-size sedan segment.

The Vios looks sharp and wider than the City and Ciaz. This design difference may help Toyota to win the competition. Of course, Toyota needs to offer better features or pricing. The car will have a 1.5litre petrol engine that is able to produce maximum of 108 Bhp and 1.4 litre diesel producing 89 Bhp – 200 Nm. it is expected to get CVT AT engine. Mated to a 5 speed manual while the diesel engine will only get a 6 speed manual.

Maruti Ciaz FL

As one of the bestselling car from Maruti, the company works to keep Ciaz fresh in this competitive market. Maruti recently shifted the Ciaz from the regular Maruti sales network, to the Nexa premium dealerships.  Maruti is also working on a facelift version. Maruti partner, Suzuki, has already updated the Ciaz (that is sold as Alivio) in China.

The indian version may be carrying the same updates. As you know, the car has already been spotted testing under a heavy camouflage. Maruti Ciaz FL gets revised alloy wheels, new front and rear bumpers, re-styled fog lamp housings, and of course new front grille.

Maruti could include a sunroof to compete the Verna and the City. The facelift version will get the new 1.5 litre petrol engine and the new 1.4 litre diesel engine developed by Maruti Suzuki.

Honda Amaze

Honda is going to launch the new version this year. As you know, the Amaze sedan is Honda’s debut mark in diesel segment in India. The manufacturer, Honda is currently preparing the all-new Amaze for its early launch. Amaze has been spied at Honda’s Tapukara plant and will be showcased at the Auto Expo 2018.

Honda is expected to put a more powerful engine of the 1.5 litre diesel engine. It is also going to be roomier but will stay under the 4-meter mark. Not only the interior, Honda Amaze will also get a number of new features like climate control, updated security features, and new infotainment system.

Tata Tigor Sport

Tata is planning to add to list of sporty sedans in the market. It will launch ‘sports’ iteration of the Tigor sedan in the market. There is no information revealed yet about the suspension or engine set-up. But, it is confirmed that Tata will give more power to the package. You know, buyers feel the Tigor is quite underpowered in its current model. With sports version, Tata may power with the same 1.5 litre engine that is found under the Nexon’s hood. It is able to produce 108 Bhp and 260 Nm of peak torque.
