Natural Health: Oxylent Supplements

I am always trying to find the best Vitamins for my kids. It is important to me to give them something that will help their growing bodies and immune system. Most vitamins sold at stores like Wal-Mart are full of synthetic ingredients. One has to really pay attention to the ingredients list, even if it does say Natural. I have an eight month old, and although he doesn't need vitamins because I breastfeed, I need them very much!

Breastfeeding takes a lot from a Mother. She needs all the nutrients and vitamins that she can get. If she doesn't then it all goes to baby, leaving her with nothing. Let's face it, Mom needs to take care of herself too! I have recently discovered a natural vitamin supplement for the whole family. This is not your everyday vitamin. It is a vitamin powder that you add to your water. Shake and drink!

A company called Vitalah and founder Lisa Lent created an amazing health and nutritional supplement. I was sent to review a few from their Oxylent line. I will be sharing what each one is for, the ingredients and how my family reacted to the supplements.

I will start with the children's Oxylent....

Children's Multivitamin Supplement Drink

For children 4 and up, this vitamin powder has many benefits. It supports child development, strengthen's growing bones and muscles and supports a healthy immune system. This mix has a full spectrum of essential minerals and nutrients.

Ingredients are...
  • Citric acid
  • Natural fruit flavors
  • Beet root powder (for flavor)
  • Silica
  • Stevia leaf extract
What it does not contain is...
  • No gluten, dairy, soy, herbs, caffeine, or anything artificial.

I had my 5 year old boy and 7 year old girl take the children's Oxylent. They were very excited to try it out. Even more so when they seen it looked like a delicious sugary drink! In about 4-6 ounces of water, I mixed one packet of the Bubbly Berry Punch. The first drink came with a smile. I wish I had my phone on me at that moment. They said it tasted delicious and sweet. I gave this to them every morning for about 15 days. The supply was for 30 days but they shared.

Every morning they woke up asking for their "vitamin drink." I was pretty amused by this. They usually don't care to take their vitamins. I noticed after just a few days how much better they seemed to be doing. By that I mean, more awake and ready to do school work and running around the house like little wild monkeys. Now I know that is normal for some kids but before I was sent these vitamins, their immune systems were a bit low with the weather change. Summer heat to rain and cooler temps can be an issue with health at times. I also will admit that they do not eat enough vegetables. That is changing now!

So like I said, they are really thriving with their focus in homeschool work. I also want to point out that they also use to complain about foot and leg pain every night before bed. This I know is a lack of minerals, not "growing pains." Oxylent's Children's vitamin powder really works! It is not your normal everyday children's vitamin. I have tried many and have never seen such results. On top of that, they love the taste!

Oxylent's Multivitamin Supplement Drink

For adults, mix one pack in 4-6 ounces water. Children over 5 can use half a pack. This vitamin powder has your daily essential nutrients with no artificial flavors or colors. It came in three different flavors: Sparkling Blackberry Pomegranate, Sparkling Berries and Orange. This 5-1 Multivitamin powder has many benefits as well!

It gives a natural energy and immune boost, helps you manage your weight and appetite, great for traveling, and no sugar! Just to name a few. I felt safe giving these to my 9 and 12 year old daughters. Half a pack was all they needed and they were more focused and seemed to have more energy. My 12 year old is not a morning person and this did the trick. Haha!

Ingredients...

  • Citric acid
  • Natural fruit flavors
  • Beet root powder (for flavor)
  • Silica
  • Stevia leaf extract
What it does not contain is...

  • No gluten, dairy, soy, herbs, caffeine, or anything artificial.

So, to give you my opinion, rather my children's opinion. My oldest did not have much to say about it, as she doesn't have much to say about anything these days. She shrugged her shoulders and drank it. Parenting problems! My 9 year old did however have something to say. She asked for half a pack every morning or afternoon. Her favorite flavor was orange and she loved it best very cold. Of course, we ran out of orange first. Her second favorite was Sparkling blackberry Pomegranate. She did not like the sparkling berry flavor at all. I personally thought it tasted fine. Kids do have particular taste buds right?

Like I have said before, I have purchased many types of vitamins. Not only were they expensive but to get my kids to remember to chew or swallow them was a daunting task. Sometimes they didn't taste good and of course it wasn't on their must do list....BUT with these vitamin packs they do look forward to taking them. It has become a major part of our routine every day. For that I am thoroughly grateful! I know that my children are getting what they need. Not only in the kinds of vitamins but minerals as well. Many people forget that minerals are vital for our health. The only negative was one flavor. I would say that is amazing!

            • Great taste
            • Packed with essential vitamins
            • Packed with essential minerals
            • Fun to drink
            • Convenient
            • No artificial anything
            • Mom approved

            Oxylent's Prenatal Multivitamin

Oxylent's prenatal multivitamin has double the daily nutrients! I was pretty surprised when comparing the milligrams and IU. Of course when you are pregnant or breastfeeding you are basically taking care of two right?

I won't list the added ingredients again because they are exactly the same. The vitamins listed on the back of the box and packets can be found here. I will point out that it has folate as 5- methyltetrahydrofolate. Their website can explain what this particular folate does.

To learn more about this special prenatal pack please visit this page on Oxylent's website. I highly recommend you read up on it.

I absolutely loved this vitamin mix! I wished I had known about it while I was pregnant. I seriously needed all of the nutrients I could get. It wasn't the easiest pregnancy and I was fatigued most of the time. Now I breastfeed and it takes a lot from me as well. I have to eat something every 2 hours or I will feel starved and my energy (what I have left of it) depletes. It only took one-two days for me to feel revived. My energy is up, my focus has improved and my appetite has gotten easier to deal with. I definitely look forward to my vitamin drink every day.

I usually wait until mid day to drink it because that is when I start to feel very tired. It definitely helps this Mom continue to do what she needs through the day. What is even better about this vitamin mix is knowing that I am giving my baby the best vitamins and minerals as well. Lastly, the flavor, Sparkling Cranberry Raspberry has an alright taste. I will be completely honest and say that at first I did not like it. I believe that most people are use to so much sugar (yes me included) that natural flavors taste kind of odd. After about a week I really started to like how it tastes. Regardless, I would keep drinking it just for the amazing benefits it gives me. Drinking it cold or with ice is the best!

What do you think? Would you try it?

So what did he think? I have never heard him so positive about a supplement. He is the king of buying supplements and protein powders. He usually buys those 5 hour energy shots to get through the day. I asked him how he felt the first few days and he said his energy is great! Another thing that he had trouble with before was dehydration and body cramps at the end of the day. Guess what? No more cramps and no more feeling like he is going to slump over. He is absolutely thrilled to finally have something help him with energy, stamina and recovery! As a family, we have all been trying to eat smarter and cleaner and this has just added to it. He has also been losing weight and I really believe Oxylent's Sport has helped.

I almost forgot to mention the flavors! Blueberry burst and lemon-lime burst. He loved both flavors! 100% Happy husband! Thank you Oxylent :)
