PHP | strripos() Function



Hello folks! welcome back to a new edition of our tutorial on PHP. In this tutorial guide, we are going to be studying about the PHP strripos() Function.

The built-in PHP strripos() function is used to find the position of the last occurrence of a string inside another string.

Note: This function is case-insensitive.

syntax

Following below is the syntax to use this function -

strripos(string,find,start)

READ: PHP | strrev() Function

Parameter Details

It specifies the string to search

It specifies the string to find

start

It specifies where to begin the start


Return Value

This function returns the position of the last occurrence of a string inside another string, else FALSE if the string is not found.

Example

Try out the example below -

php
echo strripos
("web design tutorialz, TUTORIALZ design web","tutorialz");
?>

Output

When the above code is executed, it will produce the following result -
