PHP | strrchr() Function



Hello folks! welcome back to a new edition of our tutorial on PHP. In this tutorial guide, we are going to be studying about the PHP strrchr() Function.

The built-in PHP strrchr() function is used to find the position of the last occurrence of a string inside another string.

Note: This PHP function is binary-safe.

syntax

Following below is the syntax to use this function -

strrchr(string, char)

READ: PHP | strpbrk() Function

Parameter Details

It specifies string to search

char

It specifies string to find


Return Value

This function returns the position of the last occurrence of a string inside another string, else FALSE if the string is not found.

Example

Try out the example below -

php
echo strrchr
("nkpara kennedy!","kennedy");
?>

Output

When the above code is executed, it will produce the following result -

kennedy!
