PHP | strip_tags() Function



Hello folks! welcome back to a new edition of our tutorial on PHP. In this tutorial guide, we are going to be studying about the PHP strip_tags() Function.

The strip_tags() function strips a string from HTML, and PHP tags.

This function returns a string with all NULL bytes, HTML and PHP tags stripped from a given string. It uses the same tag stripping state machine as the fgetss() function

Note: This function is binary-safe.

syntax

Following below is the syntax to use this function -

string strip_tags ( string $str [, string $allowable_tags ] )

Parameter Details

Return Value

This function returns the stripped string.

Example

Try out the example below -

echo strip_tags

When the above code is executed, it will produce the following result -
