Inspiration can be obatined by seeing the work , passion and interest of some legends that existed/existing in the world .
My inspiration was Steve jobs
cofounder of Apple and Pixar studios . The tagline of Apple is ” think different ” . This made an Impression on me, it got out that longing feeling which was within me . I didnt want to be just one among the herd of sheep who will walk one behind another , I wanted to stand out and do things that people who thought I was s scumbag could be proved wrong.
Reading the biography of Steve jobs totally got a new hope in life. This is what I learnt from him, no matter how screwed up you are in life you need to wait thinking that all that is happening is for your own good so that correct lessons can be learnt. With all these stuff inside by brain I wanted to start my own company or be indigenous to be more specific.
To do all that and to the basic requirement was an idea. A revolutionary idea that never existed before .
This got me thinking and I thought and thought but all I could see was empty blankness in my brain .After thinking and searching for a long time I thought of starting a company which would supply the required artifact from a artifact store to any Interior designer. The reason was
1- interior designing was a tough and tedious process .
2- we would get the wanted artifact even though it was available in the city .
3- the requirement for interior designing never ends and is an evergreen field.
Now many questions may arise what is my role here and what profits am I making ?
Artifacts store people have less people moving so we could connect then to interior designers thereby increasing the traffic and for every customer we would get commission.
With this idea i contacted our artifact store person , as I walked in and told him about what we are planning to do. All this was a really exhilarating process giving that happiness that nothing else could .
As soon as we walk in and explain everything the shopkeeper tells that around 10 people came to him with a similar idea and he didn’t accept so even now I won’t .
He was a very considerate person who understood our position and told us why this will not work out
Artifacts cost a lot , some of them even go upto around 1L, so anyone doing a purchase will want a hands in experience rather going through a dealer .
Even if someone accepts us , there are high chances of any damage happening to the artifact causing breakage , so as transportation was our in case of any breakage we had to pay for the artifact ourselves
All interior designers are already set and will not consider you .
This was one of the first of the startup that was done. This thought me many lessons as to how to see things from a customer’s point of view and see what may happen to any package during transportation. This is something i will never forget in my life
