Let's Talk About: W - Two Worlds

Summary

This Drama starts with Kang Chul (Lee Jong Suk) who is a popular athlete, however after winning, his family was murdered by an unknown killer. On the other hand, Oh Yeon-Joo (Han Hyo-Joo) who is a surgeon found that her father who is a popular webtoon author of W, went missing after he created his last chapter. Yeon-Joo goes to her father's office and is shocked to see a scene of dying Kang Chul on her father's computer before out-of-nowehere, a bloody hand came out of the monitor and pulled her in. Suddenly Yeon-Joo was in a whole different scene with a dying man on a rooftop begging for her to safe his life, which she did by stabbing him with a pen. However, not long after that a "to be continued" sign appears and Yeon-Joo realizes the scene in-front of her dissolves and she is transported back to her father's office.

That is how the first episode to the show started and I know without a doubt that I am going to binge watch this drama. I am honestly grateful that they chose Lee Jong Suk as the male lead because honestly I cannot imagine someone portraying Kang Chile's character better than Lee Jong Suk.

every single emotion so spot on.

This drama sails smoothly for me, the action element, romance, humor it all goes very well until a few episode before the ending, I feel like from episode 14 this drama started to lose my interest and I have to basically force myself to finish it. The plot gets more and more loose, as if the producers of this show are just trying to make the show last 16 episodes like most Korean dramas when honestly they should have ended it on episode 13 or 14, that would be just enough. Yet they tried to squeeze in more and more weird and useless scenes, arising more problems to elongate the show.

A lot of people will disagree with me on this, but I feel like Lee Jong Suk and Han Hyo-Joo does not really have that much of a chemistry between them. They look good together as a couple, as one would when you put two good-looking people together, however the connection isn't there. That could also be one of the reasons as to why I eventually get bored of the drama, because once the excitement and fan-girling phase is over, it eventually gets boring and predictable.

However despite the last few episodes, I still deeply enjoyed this Korean drama. It is a breath of fresh air because this is, I think, the first Korean Drama that was made with this plot, so it is highly enjoyable. And if you love Lee Jong Suk, watch it, cause he is seriously so badass and hot in this show.  I recommend this show if you are tired of the stereotypical Boy-meets-Girl-and-they-fall-in-love kind of drama, this drama might just be the right one for you.
