Saina Nehwal was a first woman who made Indian badminton talent known to world after she won a bronze medal at Olympics when Gopichand was a coach. Now she has once again begun training at national coach’s academy.

According to media report, at the last World Championships in Glasgow, Saina & Gopichand were found to be interacting, probably for better performance. But, it still did not clear the air between them to reunite.

Talking about the past, Saina went to Bangalore to train under Vimal Kumar n 2014 where she had a winning time when she gained the spot of World No.1., made it to All England final and won two World Championships medals.

Although, when they both had coach-player partnership, Saina became the first India shuttler to win a bronze medal at Olympics and won other numerous International titles. This was the time when Badminton was tertiary priority in sport. Soon, Saina made a distance with coach Gopichand, even though in talking terms.

But, with relation of generic communication, Saina will be able to pursue her training at National Coach Pullela Gopichand’s academy.

Earlier, Saina was trained by Bhaskar Babu during the victory at Commonwealth Games in 2010, but she returned to Gopichand’s academy immediately. Current reports also suggest that Saina is keen to be trained at Gopichand’s academy where other badminton stars like PV Sindhu, Kidambi Srikanth, Sai Praneeth, HS Prannoy, Parupalli Kashyap etc are given utmost coaching.
