Get Wisdom
“Get wisdom! Get understanding! Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth. Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you; Love her, and she will keep you. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. Exalt her, and she will promote you; She will bring you honour, when you embrace her. She will place on your head an ornament of grace; a crown of glory she will deliver to you.”
Proverbs 4:5-9
Truth is, you can’t trade wisdom for anything as it determines everything; it is pivotal to life hence we are instructed by today’s scripture to get wisdom. To get wisdom is to pursue it aggressively and not passively; the same way a young man pursues a young lady he falls in love with – the passion, the emotions, the exactitude of romantic affection that makes him lose his senses, in like manner we are to go for wisdom.
With wisdom, you become a principal, that is, a master of life because you will never be graceless. Fighting for promotion where you live, worship and work are a proof you lack wisdom; you don’t need to compel people to honour you, wisdom delivers that, and it is the sure access to receiving your crown of glory. As you go about your duties today, never underrate wisdom, never undervalue wisdom, love her and exalt her.
PRAYER
Today is full of good things delivered by Your Word, LORD; and I am grateful for it; I receive grace to pursue wisdom, love wisdom, exalt wisdom and live in wisdom, in Jesus Mighty Name!
