When Nokia announced its comeback in the smartphones market, the company had assured that the users will be getting swift updates. This, apparently, seems to be holding true as the Nokia 3 is soon going to receive Android Nougat 7.1.1 update.
Nokia 3 falls under the ultra-budget smartphones and is the cheapest among the roster. Unlike the more expensive devices which HMD has launched, the Nokia 3 is still on the much older Android Nougat 7.0 which is soon going to change.
After seeing a great success the devices had, the company made a significant jump as far as the sales of Nokia 3 is concerned. The users, however, seemed to be complaining a lot about the lack of the latest update for their devices.
Nokia 3 latest update release date
Fortunately, Nokia has finally heard all the customers and is all set to roll out a software update. Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer at HMD Global has recently announced on Twitter about the update making this news official.
Got a few questions on this so wanted to confirm that #Nokia3 will receive 7.1.1 update by end of August. @nokiamobile

As apparent from the tweet itself, the Nokia 3 will be getting the update by the end of the month of August. This, however, does not mean that the users will have to wait this long. Looking at the past track record of the other Nokia devices, we can expect the latest update to start rolling out sometime in the mid of the month itself.
It, however, might take this whole month for the update to reach throughout the world. Additionally, this is not going to be a much significant update as it is just an incremental change on papers. That being said, any update is welcome and these are, in fact, good signs for the Nokia 3 owners as they can now expect to taste the Android 8.0 for their devices as well.
If you own a Nokia 3 smartphone, this is a good news for you. What are your thoughts about the update? Do let us know in the comments section below.
