Minutes for Weeks

Tags: hear minute speak
For the record, this poem is pretty old but I wanted to post something today because I’m still working on my new piece to release tomorrow. thanks!
So are you with him tonight?
Is he kind?

If it’s any consolation
I’d like to slit his throat
And forgive me if I repeat myself
But I’d like to know you miss us like I do
I’d give minutes for weeks just to hear you speak
And I’d be the sweat in between your and his hands
Or the bruise on your toe you got from dancing with him
I’d give minutes for weeks just to Hear you speak
And how about  days after days if you’d tell me you’d stay
So if you believe a word I speak
Know that I’m that breeze that kisses your cheek
And if you still like what you hear
Know that I’m the hand that tucks the hair behind your ear
And what are you doing next week?
How bout the one after that? You got some time for me?
And I’d be the sweat in between your and his hands
Or the bruise on your toe you got from dancing with him
I’d give minutes for weeks just to hear you speak
And how ’bout days after days if you’d tell me you’d stay
And we’ve been through too much for you to call it luck
Girl wherever you are know I’d live just to wake you up
Hear me out, how’s the sound?
I’ll find you.
We live on hope
and I’d hope you understand
but,
you just don’t.
