In this regard, all digital platforms need to strengthen their linkages with the Government of Pakistan to address the concerns of the public and businesses.

On the other hand, the PTA statement clarified that the new policy is being implemented by WhatsApp on February 8, 2021, on which users have expressed reservations, but Facebook and WhatsApp in this regard.

The agency said all the details in the statement were provided by WhatsApp and was being published by the authority to inform the public, but had nothing to do with the agency.

According to the statement, the main purpose of the privacy policy changes is to make it easier for WhatsApp to make direct purchases and get help from any business, without compromising the security of messages and calls from ordinary users, which are end-to-end encrypted.

The statement said that while WhatsApp collects data for a limited number of categories, steps have been taken to restrict access to these details.

It should be noted that the new rules and privacy policy of WhatsApp will be implemented from February 8, 2021, and users must accept them, otherwise, their accounts will be deleted.
