Mistakes and such

One of the hardest things in the world, other than my math homework, is to realize in time and accept one’s own mistakes and follies. For me that is. And trying to correct them is a whole another chain of thought.

But the first step remains to be acceptance. A bold stand takes a different kind of courage. It is not based on momentous thinking but rather on a deliberate, well thought and guilt ridden act. It is actually an act of bravery which helps build a person’s morals and ideals.

Personally I believe in the Law of karma. Separating the related superstitions, it is quite a Newtonian law. The universe, or the multiverse, has a way of getting back at you. But if, on an impulse, you be a ‘man’ enough to stand up for your Punishment as you do for a reward; then you may even soften the punisher. And I am not just talking about physical punishment but rather mental one. My conscience cannot carry the burden of letting someone else atone for my sins while I hide behind the curtain of innocence or ignorance. It just doesn’t seem to be right. Many will agree with me I guess. But for most people, and this is true, it is easier to run away from their problems than to face them.

As once a great person said, “There comes a time in every person’s life when he has to choose between what is right and what is easy.”

For me it was easier to sleep but I chose to stay up late and write this.

So friends, what do you choose?
