My Hikari Japanese Subscription Box Review May 2017

Today we are having a look at a newer subscription box known as My Hikari. This box sends you items from Japan like snacks, sweets and Souvenirs. You can get your own box for $28 plus free shipping. https://my-hikari.com/

The snacks all come in a paper bag with a little pink ribbon on it. Which I really like.

So first I want to talk about are the Souvenirs. The items I got are some Green Tea Biscuits/crackers and green tea drink pouch. The crackers are very good and there are 2 different kind. One has a stronger green tea flavor than the other one and it consists of two crackers with a green tea middle. The second one is smaller and thicker and it is not that strong because the green tea is baked into the cracker. Now the green tea packet itself is very good, all you have to do is mix it with hot water and wow is it good. I do not drink green tea all the time but I liked this.

Also include in this month's box is the Paper fan. You fold it up and wave it in your face to cool yourself off. This fan has a very beautiful design on it and I really like it. There is a tree with some green, yellow and reddish orange leaves and it looks like Fall. There is also what seems to be a post card with some Japanese people on it and they are all happy and doing daily things.

The next item is probably my favorite. They are little Koleshi Rice Crackers and they so adorable. They wrapper looks like clothes and they have little heads on them. I really like how these look. There is also a pink napkin as a background in packaging. The Rice Crackers themselves taste really good and there is a lot of flavor in them

Now time to get into the stuff I am excited for. One of the sweets are the Yatsuhashi (Cinnamon Sweets) I just have to say I love all the packaging in this box/bag and they did a really good job of that. Also the packages are resealable. The Cinnamon Sweets have an amazing smell to them. You smell the cinnamon but you also smell sweetness. They are crunchy and the taste is amazing! They taste a like Cinnamon Toast Crunch in a way. The cinnamon is there but it is not overpowering. It is just enough to complement the sweetness.

Next item we have is the Matcha Chocolate (Green Tea Chocolate). Now green tea chocolate is the worst thing in the world but it is not my favorite snacks. With these, they taste a lot like chocolate and the green tea flavor is not too strong. I really do like these better than other Green Tea Chocolate I've had.

One of the last two items we have is the Konpeito (Japanes Sugar Candy). I've had these before and they are really good. They taste like sugar. They are little star shaped candies that taste like sugar. Fun fact: the idea for these came from a Mario game. These ones are really small compared to the other ones I had but they are still really good.

The final item is the Uji Matcha (Uji Green Tea). This is a green tea mix to use to make green tea. It is a lot better than American green tea though. It is not too strong but strong enough.

That is all for this review! Have a great night everyone. https://my-hikari.com/
