African styled room.

Africian decor isn’t all complex but you could also have simple African style. The colours that can be incoroared are a variety and is endless because you can use bright colours such as bright yellow, ornage and red but also you can also use simple colours such as creams, sandy and browns. The colour allow the room to be linked up to the theme of the room that you rae trying to create, it may be that you have a duck egg blue and cream which llinks into a classic combination for a elegnant styled room. These colour for the room so the red, ornage and yellow give of a warmth feeling that is reated into the room. These colour are liked into the sunset and sunrise that occur in the sky. The browns and cream allow a balance of the room which is a contrats between the bright and bold and then the neutral and plain colurs. You can incorpate black into the room wihich will allow the statement to occur as it will be a bold colour which catchs the eye as it would be seperated from the other colours. It also allows us to seperate the colours in the room, so it can seperate the red form the oranges. Furniture painted black can also break up the room into different areas if it is a lage space however be causious when using black beause it can be too overpowering and make the space feel small than it should, i would suggest trying to keep black to a minium when incoprating it into a room.

When I think of African I think of the bold colours that they use but also the animals that are in the savannah, so when designing an African room you should try and use some animal prints when or if you can incorporate the print. Africa is full of tradition and also full of culture, so it is important I think to try and inculpate the aspects of the culture and tradition into the room so by adding African plates, wooden sculptures, masks, and etc. The room should be designed with texture in mind and should be the textures should be layer into the room so that the room has some depth and add some more interest to the room. Adding textured rugs and mats to the room allows the floor to have some dimension instead of it being one dimensioned. Adding colourful and textured cushions to the room also allows the furniture to have different dimensions. Plants also allow the room to have some texture because plants have different textures which are produced.

Materials are just as important as anything because you won’t like to have a nice sofa but the material is horrible to sit on, because then you are only caring about the appearance and not the purpose of the furniture. Most of the furniture could be made from raw materials such as reclaimed wood, wood and leather. These allow the room to have a rustic feel to the room as not all the African styles are modern and others can have a twist of country. Furniture can also be made out of wicker, and can be painted to meet the colour scheme of the room. Clay and wood can be added to the room to give it the rustic feel and vibe of the room. Using rest orated material can also help get this vibe across for example a old metal water can can aver flowers in it which would give a rustic vibe. Woods that can be used in the room for this design, can be mahogany, cedar and ebony wood which can be added as a piece of accessory, or can be used in the furniture.
