Scandinavian Country designs may have or need to the following:

• A balanced mixture of colour and light in the room. 

• The design will need to be functional and have shapes in the room. 

• The room has ornaments and accessories showing. 

• Most Scandinavian designs are modern and stark however Scandinavian country can bring natural beauty and also can incorporate lumber ( wood ) and natural colour into there design. 

Light colours from whites to faded pine which can work very well with hints of colour in accessories. The flooring in a Scandinavian country design is typically chopped up pine or reclaimed wood planks to add an essence of the countryside.

The furniture which is typically brought into the design are wooden. Some iron pieces can be incoroated into accessories such as candle stick. However normally the design would have furniture which looks old and rustic to also capture the feel of the countryside.
