The Redmi 3S Prime sports a metal build, a fingerprint sensor at the back for added security, and a 5-inch HD display that’s capable of vibrant colors and crisp text. Its touchscreen is responsive to swipes and taps, while its processor handles multitasking without a stutter. In terms of pure graphics processing – 3D games such as Asphalt 8 and Frontline Commando 2 pose no challenge – it even outperforms the pricier Oppo F1s.
                              Shots captured by its camera in well-lit settings are clear and good enough for your Facebook timeline, although low light captures lack detail and sharpness. Focusing tends to be a bit sluggish when it comes to close up or portrait shots, so don’t expect sharp candid captures of last-moving kids and pets.

                            The handset runs a customized version of Android Marshmallow that packs in features such as a call recorder, built-in antivirus, space cleaner, barcode scanner and a navigation compass. The Redmi 3S Prime is also the only handset to come with an IR blaster that allows you to use it as a remote control for most TV models, ACs and set-top boxes. Call quality is clear, and its built-in sound enhancer does a fairly good job of boosting movie and music audio. Still, in loudspeaker mode, its single speaker tends to sound tinny, but works well enough for hands free calls.
                             Another highlight of the Redmi 3S Prime is its high capacity 4100mAh battery that gives you up to two days of basic usage like web browsing, reading, messaging, and music listening.
                              So, if you don’t mind a 5-inch display, the Redmi 3S Prime should be your phone of choice. It won’t win any prizes for its generic looks, but manages to pack in a host of features in its budget price. The only downside is that it is not readily available. Limited quantities of handsets are sold online every week, and you have to register yourself first in order to stand a chance of buying the handset.
