Halloween is just an outmoded way of saying “ The Nights Before All Saint’s Day. The word hallow means “ HOLLY PERSON”. Halloween’s origins can be traced back to the ancient Celtic festival known as Samhain, which was held on November 1 in contemporary calendars. It was believed that on that day, the souls of the dead returned to their homes, so people dressed in costumes and lit bonfires to ward off spirits.
By the 9th century, October 31 was being Celebrated as All Hallows’ Eve, later contracted to Halloween, throughout Western Christendom. In much of Europe and North America, celebration of Halloween is largely nonreligious. This festival is celebrated in parts of the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Tokyo, the United States, and Canada. A night before Halloween is called Mischief night in which children and teenagers engage in pranks and vandalism.

People celebrate Halloween all over the world, with many cultures having their own take on the spooky time of year. However, people tend to celebrate this to the fullest and enjoy their vacations which definitely turn them for the upcoming winter vacation break.
