Tales are told of this young boy
An unwilling participant in his date with destiny
Though shy and as though he has lost his joy
Far removed from when streets where sesame
He no longer sees his childhood friends
But now he tries to make amends
He knows his story his foretold
Once warm but now has grown cold
This cruel world has swallowed whole
He feels nothing, numb without a soul
But fate plays another fatal trick
He gets caught up in the mix
And now he is friends with them
A couple crazy kids from his ends
And now his heart grows twice its size
Awake from your slumber, it’s in his eyes
Look and see, as I live and breathe
That young boy is me
Young he once was but now he’s grown
That young boy has come home
