Move over Beyoncé, because there’s a new record-breaker in the Carter family! Rumi Carter, at the tender age of 6 years and 9 months, has officially become the youngest-charting female artist in the history of the Billboard Hot 100.

Rumi’s debut on the charts came through her cameo on her mom’s track, “Protector,” a standout hit from Beyoncé’s album “Cowboy Carter.”

“Protector” debuted impressively at No. 42 on the Hot 100 chart, amassing 11.3 million U.S. streams in its first week.

The song not only made waves on the Hot 100, but also soared to the top spot on the Billboard 200, as well as on the Top Country Albums and Americana/Folk Albums charts.

Beyoncé herself carved out a historic moment by becoming the first Black woman to dominate the Top Country Albums chart.

Rumi’s achievement surpasses that of her older sister, Blue Ivy Carter, who previously held the title as the youngest-charting female artist on the Hot 100.

Blue Ivy made her mark at 7 years old in 2019 with her appearance on “Brown Skin Girl.”

However, Blue Ivy still holds the record for being the youngest artist ever to grace any Billboard chart, thanks to her involvement in Jay-Z’s track “Glory” at just a few days old.

While Rumi now holds the title for the youngest female artist on the Hot 100, the overall record for the youngest artist goes to Jordy, who debuted at the age of 5 in 1993.

Of course, the talent runs in the family, as Beyoncé and Jay-Z have long been fixtures on the Billboard charts. Beyoncé currently boasts 106 charted songs on the Hot 100, surpassing Jay-Z’s 105.

Rumi and Blue Ivy join an illustrious list of sibling duos who have made their mark on the Hot 100, including Miley, Noah, and Trace Cyrus; the Bee Gees’ Barry and Robin Gibb; and Janet, Jermaine, La Toya, Michael, and Rebbie Jackson, among others.
