Alicia Keys is now the mother of a teenage son! Recently, the “Un-Thinkable” singer posted a few throwback photos on social media to celebrate her son Egypt’s 13th birthday!
“This can’t be real!! You can’t be 13!!!! You are a dream come true!!” The mother-of-two wrote on the carousel of images.
She continued, “May the most high protect you!! and may you always walk like the young king you are 👑👑👑 I’m so proud of you, my son!! You light up the world!!! Happy Born Day!!!!! To happiness, love, blessings and many many more!! ”
Keys shares Egypt and his eight-year-old brother, Genesis, with music producer Swizz Beatz. Swizz Beatz also took to social media to wish his son a happy birthday on his milestone day, sharing his own carousel of memories.
“Happy Birthday Egypt the Big 13 wow. We love you and wish you many blessings.”
He went on to comment just how fast time flies and how tall his newly minted teenage son is.
“This crazy world needs your positive love and energy 🤍🤍🤍 Look at how big you are now it’s happening tooooooooooo fast almost 6ft.”
So just what did the teen do for his special day? Well, he got a super surprise trip to meet and greet some of his favorite NBA legends, all while taking in a game courtside. His favorite among the group, Golden State Warrior, Steph Curry.
As a mother of two and stepmother of three, Keys has had a unique motherhood journey where she has been very vocal about all aspects of the role.
In a 2019 interview with People Magazine at the American Express and Billboard Women in Music Impact Brunch in Los Angeles, CA, she told the popular entertainment news outlet that, “Motherhood, I find, makes you look at yourself in a way that is a mirror like no other that you’ve been presented with before. I think it makes you look at what you have taken or learned from other people and how that becomes your truth, whether it’s yours or not.”
